i find that i dont feel hungry anymore, but understand that this is what happens to most ppl after surgery, and also understand that the hunger WILL come back and to take advantage of it while i can. my thing though, is that when i see ppl eat, i tend to stare at the food (though i only do it w/ friends and family who know im weird and not be rude to others), and watch them eat. i also tend to ask if i can smell their food. i just enjoy the smells but am really okay about the fact that i cant eat it.  does anyone else do that, or some form of that? i also enjoy watching the food network (well always did), but is that bad? i don****ch it and be like "oh, i wish i could have that" or anything, i just enjoy watching it. any thoughts?

That was exactly how I felt right after surgery, it last for a month or two and then kind of went away.  Though on occasion I still want a good sniff of something I know I won't eat.  Good luck, and as long as it works for you, don't worry about it.

I felt that same exact way after surgery. I am STILL a smeller.

At this point I know what I can and can't have. What will make me sick and what I should just avoid for health sake. I still love to smell stuff that is super no-go stay away territory. For example, birthdays at the office they always have cake or brownies whatever. I really have no desire to eat them, but oh how I love to smell them. :)
