3/22 Weekly Check-in: What's up?
Starting wt: 380
Surgery wt: 344
Last week: 280.8
This week: 279 (-1.8)
A bit deflated about that number, but I know nearly 2 lbs a week is still good. I also know that I've been seriously slacking in the exercise department and if I want to put my tool to it's full use, I should get my rump moving.
Today's goal: 30 minutes of activity that keeps my heart rate up!

Patti - one of my co-workers has the BodyBugg and loves it! She and her sisters and some others have lost lots with it. Good luck! Seems like it really helps moniter.

It makes it easier to get active. It goes bananas when I meet my goal for exercise. Today I might meet my goal for steps. I'll have to see what it does then.
The nice weather is probably contributing to making it easier to exercise.
But I do feel like I have joined the Borg. (Star Trek Next Generation half people/half robots). I've never gotten into the bluetooth headsets because I think they make people look like Borgs. But I've joined the collective now.
And it's a little annoying to note that even after 1 hour and 4 minutes of moderate exercise plus all the daily life stuff and 9686 steps (and it's 2:40 p.m. here), I've only burned 2021 calories.
Since I started wearing it, I've dropped about 3 pounds.
I think if anyone is on the fence about buying it, they should. But I think it's probably a lot more useful with their website ($7 a month). Some people get torqued about getting charged for that, but I think it is useful.

Where do you get the gowearfit thingy? I am curious :) Are they expensive?
I am 9 weeks post-op today and down 52 pounds, which is a number I feel happy with. I have to say that since I whined about my stall a month or so ago. I did lose a lot this week after going back on metformin, which has totally cleared up my constipation issues.
I am seeing more room between my belly and the steering wheel of the car, and I noticed the goofy little thing of being able to turn onto a road using only one hand because my stomach isn't blocking my arm from crossing over. I give kudos to anyone who understand what I am talking about!!!

I am so excited about the idea of going under 300 pounds. I can almost taste it. I guess I could be there within the next month :)

Yay for you with the steering wheel/stomach thing! I've totally been there. I hated driving my hubbie's car or the truck because my stomach touched the steering wheel. 299 will be here soon for you.

Mine was bought at Drugstore.com. But you can get it from their website as well. bodymedia.com.
If you sign up for their service, you don't really need the little watch thingee. If you don't get the service, you will need the watch for sure.
The armband is $179. The watch is $80. I understand that 24 hour fitness sells them and calls them the bodybugg. I have no idea how much they charge.
I asked for it for Christmas. And the person who I picked in the family gift exchange wanted one, too.
