3/22 Weekly Check-in: What's up?
Happy Spring no matter where you are!
I took a long walk/hike this weekend and it was sooooo great. I climbed up a 45-degree slope and I didn't tumble head over keister climbing down. Down has always been much worse than going up for me. I love the opportunities my WLS is allowing me to have now.
I also finally got my Bodybugg/Gowearfit thing working this week (I got it for Christmas). So far, the sleep tracking thing on it is the most interesting part (it can tell when you're just lying there or really sleeping). But it does this cool little music thing when you meet your activity goal for the day.

Good Morning and Happy Monday to all!
I had a couple small wow moments this weekend! I was able to put on a pair of pants I bought back in July 2009 but was never able to wear. (Still had tags on them) Granted, they were still a little snug but I was able to button them up!! Woo Hoo! I also bought a cardio video to work out to and was able to do a full 30 minute cardio set which was a big deal to me because all I have been doing is walking for my form of exercise. I will be one month post op on Friday and I am feeling great!!

Moving slowly but surely...This week was better than the last few have been for weight loss. My size 22's are now getting loose on me. What can I do to get motivated to exercise? My husband bought us a treadmill last weekend and I have only used it 1 time. I need to get a workout program started back. Just can't get the energy or willpower. And I know I will feel better once I do. Any advice?

Good Morning to all of you.. and yes Happy Spring..
I am so happy the weather is getting nice outside.. I was able to walk outside this week and I accomplished walking 2 miles.. the only problem is I have lost shoe sizes and my walkers are too big now and I got blisters .. I have to get new shoes..lol..
Looks like week was the breaking point for the water retention thing.. I started loosing slowly as of Tuesday morning and each day is a little less on the scales.. makes me feel so much better to know it is going away so I can start concentrating on weight goals again. only 1 more lb to be back where I was on March 1st.. then Onderland here I come..

This week has been a great one for me. First off I've been hiking. ME HIKING! and not no little wimpy hikes either. One day I hiked for 3 1/2 hours, half of it up hard core hills and burned almost 1100 calories. Of course I proceeded to go home and take 3 1/2 hour nap after wards but that's beside the point.
Secondly, my dear sister came to visit and went through all my clothes with me. I needed someone to give me their honest opinion as to whether or not things were too big.
I purged three large garbage bags of too big clothes from my closet. It's so cool to finally have room for my clothes that fit and my closet looks so clean and organized.
Finally, I easily got into the smallest pants in my wardrobe, the ones that I had been saving, my skinny pants. They are a size 20. I did a little happy dance then realized immediately that it meant that I would need to buy in-between clothes MUCH sooner than I had realized.

We had an absolutely beautiful weekend up here in the Bay Area, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I went dancing and didn't sweat all over the place, I can jog up my 3 flights of stairs, and I can swim for an hour almost non-stop....life is grand!
