I'm in love!

Facing a critical shortage of the next size down in pants, I bit the bullet and walked into the one local thrift shop that my local WLS buddies said carries sizes larger than 20.

$11.32 later I left with FOUR pairs of nearly new pants, a pair of shorts with the original tags still on, and an unused bulletin board thing still wrapped in the original cellophane from the store.

I THINK I FOUND MY CROSS ADDICTION -- THRIFT STORES!

I think you are right about cross addiciton.. I love the thrift stores and I go all the time.. I get great deals and it is very addicting.. I have a lot of clothes in a lot of varying sizes.. and they all came from thrift stores.. I go whether I need anything or not.. that is not a good thing.. but at least I am getting good deal .. right..

I am getting shoes too.. all my shoes have gotten too big.. so I refuse to pay so much for shoes.. I got three pair this past week a black pair a chocolate pair and a pair of black gym shoes.. all for $9.00... what a deal..

Have fun Patii.. better than spending lots of money on clothes we undergrow so fast.. and when I need a new size I return the ones back that are too big to the thrift store in donation and get more..

I haven't tried 'em yet, but Thrift stores are on the to-do list!

I just got a coat for $20 that was originally $160.  It is a pretty purple color and will be very warm for my trip to Niagra Falls next month.  I also got a pair of jeans that were a size 19.  I am thinking, I am in a size 22 now, maybe in a couple of months I will wear them.  I thought they were between an 18 and 20.  When I got home I tried to try them on.  They came up mid thigh before they got stuck...I mean really stuck...My husband has this saying about trying to fit a whopper into a whopper jr. box and that is what immediately came to my mind.  It was very comical and gave me a good laugh.  Who knows...maybe one day...in the far future...they will fit.  But they were $5 so I didn't waste too much money if they don't... :)
