I went to my monthly dietician class for the surgery on 3/17 and I lost 8 more pounds!  Now a total of 58! =)  During the meeting the dietician totally shocked me saying that it was the last class I had to attend with her!  I was so scared & nervous I didn't eat well for a week and that is another reason I didn't post.  You all seem so sure of what you want to do.  So with some advice from a friend I am back to going one step at a time and I feel much better.  We will see how this "path/road" takes me.

I go to see the Behavior Psychologist tomorrow to talk with her and I have to find out what requirements that I have to meet of hers for surgery.  I still haven't met with the surgereon or anything.  I am also still undecided if I am going to do the surgery.

I'll post again soon.

Keep Smiling! The path/journey is worth the results!

Your story sounds like mine. I went into my surgery with an eye on the back door all the way through! I had a real hard time committing to do the surgery. The dietician told me the same thing at my visit with her. I went to all the appointments and taking it one step at a time helped my anxiety.  I jumped through their requirements thinking hey, I probably should have this stuff checked out anyway and finally I realized when I spoke to the behaviorist that I needed to do this for me to have a better, longer life. It isn't about anything else. Don't let worry and anxiety make your decision for you -those things do go away. It's a definite commitment as its a life changing decision so look at all the pros and cons and get as informed as possible - OH offers a whole lot of information and people who have been there who willing to answer questions. I'm only 20 days out from surgery. The surgery part wasn't that bad and the weight loss I've achieved so far has truly made my life better.  I wish you all the best in your journey.
