3 months out as of today...new statistics...

Hi everyone..

  I am exactly 3 months out as of today.. 11/23/09 to 2/23/10.. I feel like my progress since surgery has been slow going but it has been going.. I weighed this morning again even though I weighed yesterday to report on the thread for progress. and I measured this morning too.. I thought I would share my results with you all today..

My heaviest weight on Feb. 3, 2009        303#      BMI   63.3
My surgery weight on Nov. 23, 2009        236#     BMI   49.3
Current weight on Feb. 23, 2010             208#      BMI   43.47

I have lost 95 lbs and lowered my BMI 19.83 points..

but that is not all the good news today.. remember I said I measured too..

(sure wish I had measured when I was at my highest weight to know the grand total.... )


So my results today are great ..  95lbs lost and BMI down 19.83 points and 60 inches lost.. and I am really very happy.. I will go for my 3 month check up at my surgeons next Monday.. I am hoping the results will be even better then.. but if not... I am a happy camper..


Hey only 5 lbs to go to reach 100lbs lost.. yippee.. I can't wait..  I may not get there for the 3 month appointment but I will do a happy dance when I do get there..
Only 8 lbs to go to get into onderland.. a place I have not been in 17 years.. I was there on a diet once in 1993 and was at my lowest ever of 195lbs(on Phentermine) .. but alas when I went off of Phentermine I gained it all back in 3 months and was back in twoterville again.. and then up up up from there... but never again....

Just thought I would share my happiness today with you.. I am very pleased with my results.. I hope the doctor is..

I am only 3 weeks out and you are such an inspiration.  I never measured myself, I should do that.  Thanks so much for sharing!  I am so happy for you. Congrats. You worked hard!

Yes please measure yourself... it is very important not only to see how many inches you are loosing but there are times when you will reach plateaus, and it is very easy to get discouraged during those times and not see all the hard work showing up on the scale.. it is during those times that the measurements will show a loss.. it helps you keep motivated to see those numbers go down when the scale isnt..  

Thanks for the congrats and saying I am an inspiration, that made me smile.. there are so many on here that have been an inspiration to me.. it makes me feel good to think I am now an inspiration to someone too..

You are doing great!   Doesn't MATTER what the doctor thinks - it's how you think and feel!  Wow, what an accomplishment.  You are doing great.

Thank you Mary.. I am so happy to know people think I am doing great.. it is hard to see myself as doing good everyday when I feel the scale is moving so slow.. that is why I wanted to look at the bigger picture today..  I am not going to worry about what the doctor thinks.. I ahve to remember he did not know me at my highest weight.. I only met him a month or two before surgery.. so he is not looking at the bigger picture either.. he is just looking at what I have done since surgery. but ti all counts in my book.. I think maybe the lbs before surgery may even count more because I did it on my own.. without any tool to help me..
