Weekly Checkiin: Regulars and Lurkers Welcome!!
OK, today is my 8 month Surgiversary, and I had to go in for a follow-up apt this morning, so I weighed.
Highest Wt: 385
Wt Before Liquid Diet: 367
Wt Day of Surgery: 353
Current Weight: 254!! (3 pound loss this week-which is kind of a lot for me)
Pounds Lost in 8 Months: 113
The program coordinator said I had only lost 45% of my excess body weight and that by the 8th month they typically see a 60% loss, so that just confirmed for me, once again, what I've known for so long: my weight loss is on the slow side. But I am still happy with it. I know that I've done everything they have asked me to do except the arthritis keeps me from walking every day, but still I manage to walk most days. When I am able to walk, I can now do a 25 minute mile! I know it's a snails' pace, but for me...it's a miracle.
So thankful!!! Oh...and since I have lost half of what I want to loose, I've updated my avitar and pictures. That helped me to really see the difference! And I am getting the biggest kick out of watching the balloon on my ticker drift away from the half way mark toward my goal!! I love my ticker!! Take care all!!! connie
