Got off my not-quite-as-big butt!

Last night I rode the exercycle at home for 12 minutes.  Doesn't sound like much, but since I have only ridden it here and there a few times, the fact that I've done it 3 times this week is GREAT and I went from 10 minutes to 12.   It's going to continue.  I'm going to try and ride every day and then increase time and maybe try twice a day sometimes.   I had to start somewhere.  My fitness level is low.

It felt good to move with intention.  I'm going to keep doing that!

That's great!! I'm envious because I went on my treadmill the other day and did 5 minutes. I was proud, but you just blew me out of the water!!

Well, Kristen, I started at 10 minutes, and I think it's easier to bike than walk!  Start slow and move it up.  The first time was the hardest for me.  Each time it gets easier and each week, I'm moving it up.

When I first started working out, I could only do 5 minutes on the treadmill with no incline and a really low speed.... I finally had to give up the treadmill because I can't run on it and an hour at full incline and 3.5 speed just wasn't cutting it for me....

hip hip hooray..   YAY MARY....the fact that you are doing it is what counts.. the time will get better each week.. just do the best you can.. your own reward is when you see you can do more.. it really feels good..

12 minutes on a bike is great.. I have more trouble with my knees on the bike than on the treadmill.. but I have a very OLD exercise bike.. I will be glad when spring gets here so I can try the real bike I purchased(USED).... hubby bought me a helmet.. might not be a bad idea since it has been over 15 years since I rode a bike,.might have to get training wheels.. lol

keep up the good work,, every movement counts  so just keep moving and do what you can do.. it will get easier..

huggs.

That's fantastic, Mary!  I'm with you - have to do baby steps with exercise.  You've inspired me to be more diligent about it - sometimes I get defeated that I get tired so quickly.

Way to go!
