I have seriously been persuing my WLS however it seems like my doctors office is dropping the ball. I am not going to bad mouth any doctor here but I am starting to think I should change doctors.

I don't know if it his staff or my insurance company that is dropping the ball. Her is the situation:

All my pre-cert approval ionformation has supossedly been submitted 4 different times. The nurse says it has been done but the insurance company tells me "NO" it has not been faxed!  I have given the doctor's office 2 different numbers and they say okay all done. I call the next day and the insurance company says "not yet" call back for the next week and still no paperwork. This is ongoing and I want to proceed with my surgery.

CAN ANYONE HELP FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO????

Try getting the surgeons office to copy it all off and actually snail mail it with a signature required for the acceptance.. that way the insurance cant say they didnt get it.. most likely it is the insurance company.. I am sure the surgeons office is sending it but the insurance company is placing it on someone desk who is not passing it along to the necessary people.. they are usually the ones that drop the ball so to speak.. Insurance companies will play all kinds of games to try to get people to get discouraged and just give up..  you can also stand there and watch the surgeons office fax the material and have witnessed it when you talk to the insurance..
Also try to get a persons name to have it go to the attention of.. and you can ask to speak to that person specifically.. call every day and bug them no matter if they say to give it a week.. call every day.. they will finally get so tired of you calling they will start looking where the faxes are going.. remember the squeeky wheel is the one that get the grease..

I wish you luck but I can tell you that probably half the people on here have had to play the insurance games of some kind or other before surgery was approved.. so dont give up.. keep at it.. let your determination guide you..

huggs..
