I need help(which is obvious)....LOL

I need an insurance carrier that covers WLS. All that I have looked at dont cover it. I have Community Care HMO and would gladly change carriers to have this surgery. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your best bet would be to post in your state forum or on the main board.  If you or your spouse have a choice of plans, I'd suggest talking to someone in HR about which plan covers WLS.

Impossible to tell you an insurance company that covers it... all insurance companies differ with each plan.. some Blue Cross Blue Shields cover it and some don't  some  Health Alliance covers it and some don't..get the idea...and some have exclusions in the policy..  there is really not a standard for each company.. they write the plans for the individual and the company they are supplying ins. for..
you might want to look on the insurance site for more info.. but the best way is to actually call the insurance and ask them.. but remember if they say yes they cover it, make sure it is covered under the plan you might choose..
