Congrats on the size 24 jeans.. that is what I am in,  but some of the 24's are getting too big.. and the size 22 will go on but too tight for my likeing... I was given a lot of jeans and have varying sizes so I can go down and not have to buy them.. I really appreciated that.  I am in some xl in elastic waist.. and large in stretch pants.. feels good to see the size differences as they go down..

I know what you mean about the scale Patti.. I keep seeing the weight moving up and down.. but at least each week is showing a loss.. not much but still its a loss.. I need to hide my scale again except on Mondays.. see I would have seen a 2 lb loss and been happy but now I saw a 2 lb gain since Saturday..

I think I overdid it this weekend at the party for my grandson Sunday .. I ate 5 cheese cubes, 4 baby dill pickles, 2 pieces of thin turkey lunch meat rolled around turkey pepperoni and a mozz cheese stick all wrapped in 1/2 wheat carb smart tortilla, and then I stuck my finger in my hubbys cake icing for a taste. .yum.. all spread out over 2 hours but it was like grazing I guess.. so now I have to work extra hard to loose that 2 lbs again.. aarrrgggg... did 1 hour this morning of  Wii Just dance.. and 10 minutes at lunch on treadmill.. man and I sore.. but will try to do Wii fit tonight and another 10 minutes on tread mill..

starting weight : Feb 2009 :         303#
surgery weight : Nov 23 2009 :    236#
last week: Feb 1  2009 :                219#
this week: Feb 8 2009 :                 217#      (saw 215#  during the week)

I am not changing my ticker back to 217# .. I'll just have to work extra hard to get the scale back to it..

Huggs..

I looked at the scale this morning.. and cried...

Some time after Thanksgiving.. my dad was diagnosed with Colon Cancer.  He had  surgery to remove the tumor.. and was in the hospital almost a month... through christmas and new years (which was my parents 40th anniversary)  Because of stress.. etc.. I could not.. for the life of me.. get my weight out of the 350s!  I would go up two.. down one... it was so frustrating.. today I broke through the 50's barrier (Thank you Lord!)  My dad is back in the Hospital.. They think the scar tissue from the surgery is causing another bowel blockage.. plus not enough urine output... Please keep him your prayers!

Dont forget.. that I am doing this on my own... w/o surgery

Congratulations on getting under 350.  I know how much it meant to me to break that barrier and know I was closer to 300 than 400.  I'm sorry for all you're going through with your father... keep taking care of yourself so you can be the best caregiver you can.  Best wishes.

My first thought is that your scale may be busted or need new batteries.  Have you tested it against other scales?

I put my highest weight because from that I've lost 100 and that feels wonderful.  The "official" weight I use is my first weigh-in at the Bariatric Clinic - 399.  It's amazing how well this journey goes.  I feel GOOD!
