177 lbs GONE & Dancing:)
Hopefully i can see all my regular girls here. I had to step back to finish these classes that were majorly kicking my butt.
I"M BACK AND STRONGER THAN EVER. So i put myself on a personal challenge first for two weeks them another 2 weeks so for a total of a month but you know we have to take baby steps.
How can we improve if we don't push ourselves. So for the next 3 months i will have one class and i'm dedicated to make some changes in my body by the end of that time. I will be 10-11 months post op buy that time.
So three times a week i will do the following:
Squats- (3 sets) 15-20 reps, with about 30 seconds of rest in between.
Lunges- (3 sets) 15-20 reps, with about 30 seconds of rest in between.
Tricep kickbacks- (3 sets) 15-20 reps, with about 30 seconds of rest in between.
Crunches on the ball- (3 sets) 20-25 reps...
Reverse crunches- (3 sets) 20-25 reps...
Dumbbell presses- (3 sets) 15-20 reps (lie on your back on the ball, and perform dumbbell presses for your chest)
Dumbbell shoulder presses- (3 sets) 12-15 reps (sit on the ball and use dumbbells for shoulder press one arm dumbbell rows on the ball for your back)
Donkey Kick backs- (3 sets) 25-30 reps (sit on the ball and use dumbbells for shoulder press one arm dumbbell rows on the ball for your back)
The other 2 days will be:
HIGH ENERGY CARDIO of atleast an hour with resistence.
Lets see how this goes but i know i can do it.

Still doing the treadmill for 10 minutes 2x a day.. and Wii Fit for 45 minutes each day.. but now I have added Wii "Just Dance".. I can do an hour now.. I love it.. It is really cheesy looking but I do get into it and dance.. I am trying to beat my own score.. this morning my daughter did it with me and even the grandson joined in some.. lol.. he was so cute...
I didn't do the "Just dance" on Sunday or the treadmill.. I got up and did 55 minutes on Wii fit before having to get dressed for the party.. after the party I felt so pooped..I helped set up and made the cupcakes the night before and helped with the party and then stayed for all the clean up.. so I rested the rest of the day..
I might get on the ball and get started with a routine too.. because doing the Wii steps and others on it I really make my knees sore. maybe I need to add resistance now.. I am 11 weeks today out so it should be ok...

I am really trying to move more to get the scales to move more.. but the scales are still slow moving.. but I am not going to stop what I am doing because at least the scale is moving and in the right direction..

30 minutes on the recumbent bike with my book... cranked up the resistance.. I figure as long as I'm sweating it must be good cardio. Would say I was breathing hard too, but I don't know if that was due to the workout or being on the really good part of the book.... LOL

That's my routine... and I am really loving it... I also WALK as much as I can and always take the stairs now!!!
My challenge today in particular is to get past the muscle soreness from exercising last week and dancing on Saturday night in heels and really work it out at my Zumba class tonight! My body says take it easy.. my mind says now's the time to GO FOR IT!

I've been a slacker and haven't posted for a few days. My good news is that I had foot surgery on January 20th, and had expected to be unable to do serious exercise for a few more weeks, but I'm cleared to return as long as I stop if it hurts and use common sense. Yay!
So today, I'm going to Zumba. Might squeeze in some strength training too.
