Wasn't a hernia...

Well, I had my diagnostic laparoscopy on Wednesday.  (gained 3 lbs in water weight from the surgery by the way...)

I didn't get to talk to the Dr. afterwards but he updated my husband and it turns out it wasn't a hernia after all.  He said it was adhesions from my gallbladder surgery which was over 10 years ago.  Apparently, the 52 lbs I lost was keeping the adhesions from pulling and causing pain.  When I lost the weight, they started causing issues.

My husband said it was a 20 min surgery and I was in recovery for about an hour.  I felt really good afterwards and have had just minor muscle soreness/pain.

Just wanted to update you in case anyone else starts feeling pain after they lose some weight...could be adhesions from a previous surgery...

Glad to be back on track and hopefully will get to start working out again soon.

Thanks!

Glad to hear that you are doing ok now.. that is freaky to think that you can have problems like that from a previous surgery.. I had a laparoscopic gallbladder surgery in 2007 and they say I have an incisional hernia from that.. when I had on all my weight you could not tell it was there but it really shows now.. they said as long as I dont have problems with it I can have it fixed with the tummy tuck...

I am happy that you got it took care of and the pains will be gone now and you can get back on track too..

huggs..

This is good to know. Glad the surgery was no biggie. Now you can drop more lbs worry free.
