Wii "Just Dance"

I am not sure who all wanted to know but I know I was suppose to let several people know how I liked this for Wii.. I had not gotten around to it as I had overdone the stepping on Wii and my knee was swollen.. I continued to do the Wii fit but was afraid to try the dance.. well this morning I got it out and tried it.. It is a very cheesy looking one.. the people look like they are from the 70's and 80"s and they are all different colors.. and some are monotone.. like every thing is pink or  everything is blue.. and some are not but man are they are still  cheesy looking.. I like the songs ok but they are also songs from the 80" and some 70"s and maybe a few new ones too that I dont know lol.. I am too old and dont listen to the new songs these days.. lol..  well anyway even though it was cheesy looking,  I started doing it.. I was determined to try it since my mom paid so much money for it.. I got caught up in it and tried every song and danced for 48 minutes before I knew it.. I really worked up a sweat.. I am sure I will do it more.. so I am not sure what to tell you.. but I am amazed that I danced or moved like that for over 45 minutes..I am 50 and I was able to do this..  I did not hurt my knees or my back.. I had a lot of fun but I bet if anyone else was here they would have had a big laugh.. I am not a good dancer but I try.. So if you like to dance and would like to learn a few dance moves then this would be for you.. but I think you have to have a good memory too.. you have to learn the dance and keep up with the dancer on the screen to make any points.. I am going to try to bet my own score as an incentive.. It does not weigh you, it does not tell you how many calories you burned.. it is not really specific for weight loss.. It is a dance game.. but man did I get a work out.. I have no idea how many calories but the cardio was great.. for me anyway..

I know it may not be exactly what you wanted me to say but I cant tell you whether it would be worth it for you to buy it.. It is rather expensive.. but if you are not too concerned about crunches and lunges and push ups and such and love to dance then this might help you get moving.. So it is up to you.. you decide.. and  when you turn it on and see the graphics , dont tell me I didnt tell you that it was cheesy... lol

huggs..

Thanks for that!  I actually thought it would be a great way for me to get a workout - I love to dance, but feel like I would stand out just a bit too much in an actual class!  And I grew up in the 80's, so those songs would be perfect for me! :)

Do you have to stand on the board for that?  I am still above their maximum weight, so it wouldn't work for me yet it that was the case.  I also have the buy the whole system!

But, to me dance is a way for me to get exercise, without even realizing it.  When I went to an all-inclusive with my best friend, we ate, drank and danced the whole time.  I came home 5 pounds lighter, and I swear it must have been the dancing!
