WOW! Down my first 100!
I don't mind sharing at all.
I use Unjury protein powder a couple of times a week to bump up my protein intake.
And in terms of supplements, I take Celebrate brand Multi-vitamins, Iron w/C, Calcet Lemon Chews (Calcium Citrate and Vitamin D), and a sublingual B12.
I also use Vitamin E capsules (whatever is cheapest) topically a couple of times a week on my chin, neck and chest.
I use Estee Lauder skin tightening cream on my inner thighs, my stomach and arms, though its expensive.
I alternate that with Nivea Q10 which I really like, except for the strong smell.. not bad.. just strong and lingering.
I use Estee Lauder extra moisturizing day cream on my face and neck, and only wash my face using the Estee Lauder face wash and makeup remover. (I got hooked on this when a relative sent me a get well package of Estee Lauder skin tightening products after surgery.. and I loved them!)
I also use a night face and eye cream that is by Bliss (another expensive thing I got hooked on through a gift).
People in my support group are having lots of raves about Biotin supplements for hair loss.. but I've only noticed my hair thinning a bit more than normal.. so far haven't been too worried about it. I think the Unjury protein powder has done good things in the hair department.
My fingernails grow really fast and even moreso after surgery, but they are paper thin... so I also pop a pre-natal vitamin or gelatin capsule when I notice my nails aren't doing so good - but as a caution - pre-natal vitamins are high in Iron and since I am anemic and take an extra Iron supplement anyway I gotta be careful with that.
You should see my vanity... it rivals those of showgirl trannies!!!

Thank you for the laugh and the information! I started using a vitamin C cream because that is what my dermatologist suggested. I am using the celebrate multis, haven't fully settled on the best calcium for me yet, and was told to wait a little on the B12. I didn't like the calcium from Celebrate, so maybe I should try those lemon chews as it seems like a lot of people really like those.
I just ordered more unjury as I can do the strawberry sorbet in Crystal Light Lemonade and actually enjoy the drink, as long as I don't have to smell it!
I do take biotin -- I started it before surgery . . . and someone told me to use Mane and Tail shampoo and conditioner . . . It certainly makes my fine hair look a lot thicker, so I maybe that is why. My son was hair-pulling last year and gave himself a bald spot and the Biotin worked wonders really fast -- like within a month.
I was debating vitamin E, especially where my incisions are healing. The two biggest ones sealed as nice straight lines, but the three smallest ones are kind of oval and look like they may be big funny spots . . .
This information is GREAT. Thank you! It makes me feel like I am on the right track and gave me some other ideas as well.
