Where's Rhonds(aka RubyEllen)
I can't believe you guys are thinking of me. I'm here; I've just been busy and away. I'm eager to catch up with everyone. I haven't read the posts yet.
Let's see: I had my second fill today. Fills are EASY and I'm starting to feel some restriction, especially in the mornings. By night I'm pretty hungry. The nurse today said the fill 2 weeks from now or this one will help a lot. I'm happy with my band and feel fine. I've lost 53 lbs, but most of that was pre op. It's coming off slowly, but surely since surgery.
I still love my recumbent bike and my doc said to ride it twice a day, even if it's just for 15 min at a time. She says it will rev up my metabolism. She's a believer in "turbulence training" and told me to look it up, which I haven't done yet.
I'm eager to add to unsolicited opinion to your posts. More later!!!!!

Glad you are back.. yes we miss you when you are gone..
I am so happy for you Ronda.. I am glad to hear the fills are not painful or scary.. if it was something to dread that would be awful.. I am glad you are feeling the restrictions now..
that will help you alot.. maybe this one or the next will be the one for you to make you feel full at night too..
I understand about the night hunger.. but a lot of it is head hunger..( if you are like me).. that was when I always did the most of my eating.. I stayed so busy during the day but at night, all I did was eat.. I still struggle with that now , but now it is not real hnger but it is head hunger.. now I know I can't give in to the head hunger.. I am and I guess I will always have to fight that off at night.. so I am trying to stay busy at night.. good luck with your struggles.. did moving to the bedroom work???
I have not rode on my bike yet.. it is an old stationary bike and I am so afraid of hurting my knees and back on it. I wish I could get a recumbent bike but no money to spend right now.. Got a bill from the hospital for almot $4000.00 .. and I paid $5000.00 up front so i was so shocked.. they said the bill was for the testing ahead of the surgery and the $5000.00 was for the surgery.. I told them that it was to cover the deductible not just to go toward surgery .. so we are hashing it out.. I hate insurance companies and billing departments that have to deal with them.. no way we could come up with that money.. so I guess they will have to wait until the insurance pays toward the surgery and see what is left.. my surgery was over $41,000.000... I guess due to the fact I had to go to the CCU and then the ICU before getting to go to a regular room... but man that was a big difference from the $23,000.00 I was quoted..
Thanks for the tip on "turbulence training" I will look that up.
huggs..

Ain't they just great.. I would love to be able to just not have to worry about insurance for one whole month.. just one month to not have to hastle over them.. I hope the new health care bill that passes..if it passes.. can straighten them out some.. but I am not sure it is going to help anything.. we will all have to have insurance and the companies we work for provide it,,with us paying God know how much for premiums.. but unless there is regulations they will not cover some things.. like the WLS and other issues and the deductibles will be just like they did to mine, raising it from $1500.00 a year to $5000.00 a year.. so yes I have insurance but still can't afford to get sick.. where is the $5000.00 a year for medical suppose to come from.. I sure can' t pull it out my A>s lol.. if I could do that kind of magic I could heal thyself.. haha

Oh HARSH. You are right, of course; less carbs = less hunger. Why oh why are they so hard to give up??? I'll try to FOCUS on nixing them. I actually bought a couple of boxes of the nasty little 100 calorie packs tonight before I came online. Maybe I can give them away at work. If they are in the house, I'll be eating them.
STAY AWAY FROM THE CARBS, RONDA!!!!!!!!
