Thanks.. I am really trying to hang in there..  I was getting so disappointed.. and it was getting hard to keep all this up without seeing any rewards.. I am so happy that I measured.. now I am ready to go again and keep up doing what I am doing and more. ... motivation works great when we see the rewards.. but when we dont see them it tends to dwindle to almost nothing.. SO now I am motivated again.. off and running..  I will finsh this race.. I amy not be in first place but thats ok  as long as I can finish..

Wonderful!  The scale isn't the only way to measure our success.

Sorry I'm tardy to the party- CONGRATULATIONS!! That's a whole lotta inches! I'm glad you're measuring, I find it much more rewarding than the scale sometimes.....I mean almost 18 inches in your waist alone....that's just awesome! Keep up the hard work- it's clearly paying off!

Thanks so much for the congrats.. every kind word of encouragement makes me even more motivated.. I think it is the idea that  I need to please.. I have always been that way..but now I am really trying to please ME>> but the motivation is coming from your guys here on OH.. and I really appreciate that.. .

Yes I am glad I did the measuring too.. the loss has really cheered me up.. and the movement on the scale has helped but the inches really made a big difference to me..

I started the measurements late .. I wish I had some to compare to when I was at my highest weight I can only imagine what it was 55lbs before the first measurements.. a lot of the reason I didn't measure then was that I did not have a tape measure big enough.. they only go to 60".. and I was much much larger than that. My waist was 63 inches after losing 55 lbs.. and I know it was much much bigger before.. I carry a lot of weight in my stomach area.. I always looked like I was 9 months pregnant.. well actually maybe 18months with an 18lb baby.. lol.. now maybe I am only 8 months..but the baby has really dropped... lol.....

I still have a long way to go

BUT I AM ON MY WAY...I will just keep on keeping on..

huggs....

Hi Teresa

I'm late to the party too but that is totally awesome.  You are using the tool you were given to the best of your ability and everything you went thru to get it is now worth it.

I know from the beginning of my journey through now, I can move so much better too.  I didn't take measurements like you did (wish I had--the last measurement of my waist was about 7-8 months before surgery at 65 inches and last April at 45).

Keep it going hon!

wow girl  you did great too.. your beginning waist was right at mine.. only 2 inches difference.. I am just now down to 45 inches.. waht a coincidence huh.. but I am sure yours is way less now.. I cant wait to keep going down..

WOW woman you have lost over 200 lbs.. that is so great..  way to go..

Yes I can move so so much better too.. I feel like a new person already and it is only getting better each week.. what a great way to feel...
