177 lbs GONE & Dancing:)
Well girls, i'm keeping myself accountable. I didn't make yesterdays challenge, that's why i didn't post my individual task cause i wasn't for sure if i was going to be able to do it. So, as i sit here and type with my gym clothes on, im doing something new today. I'M DOING STEP CLASS by DVD with Kathy Kaehler. I like it and one of my goals is to finish a full class at gym using my arms the whole time. This DVD is about 40 mins but i'm also doing the squats and lunges skit below. Check it out, it's safe.

I am home recovering from foot surgery I had on Wednesday, so my exercise will be limited for a while. I just did an arm workout using some hand weights I borrowed from my gym. I also think that being on crutches counts as an upper-body workout too! I am amazed at how easy my recovery has been. I definitely couldn't have done all of this before my surgery and if I hadn't been so dedicated to exercise.

Glad your home doing great Lesley. And you still found the strength to do upper body that's amazing. You rock girl. Sometimes i get discouraged knowing i have so much to lose still after 100 pounds are gone. I keep thinking if i only started out at 280 or even 300 i would be below 200 now. I know i shouldn't think that way. Us BMI's of 50+ have a real struggle cause getting off 160+ pounds or more is no joke. I'm tryng to keep the inspiration as i know this is just the beggining. Take care hun.
You're right, it's hard, and our journey is definitely different from someone who has "only" 100 lbs to lose. There are days when I feel just awful about how far I have to go and find no comfort in how far I've already come. Fortunately, most days I feel inspired by what I've done so far, and filled with a spirit of "Anything is possible! I can do this!!!" I think it's a daily choice I make -- I say to myself "Today I'm going to choose to stick with my nutritional guidelines and exercise. Just for today." I figure I'll worry about tomorrow when it gets here. :-)
