Today I'm going back to see my surgeon. I can't wait!!! I haven't seen him since after my surgery a year ago. When I go to my followups with the surgeon's office I see the Nurse, saw the assisting resident a few times, he is my biggest cheerleader...lol...but I haven't seen my surgeon and I just cannot wait. I hope I don't cry or anything...but sheesh...this man saved my life. All my happiness...and well being...he helped me attain. I think I will be forever grateful to that man. Just thinking about it right now has my eyes tearing.

It was such a struggle to get approved for the surgery, ended up getting laid off from my job, stopped speaking my best friend and having to learn how to eat all over again...all at the same time. I swear, if I could make it through that there is nothing i cannot do!

Monday I took my wonderful boyfriend to have some medical testing done. The nurses were telling him how cute his girlfriend is...and then I got hit on by two men...in the same day...LOL I love my boyfriend, but it is so nice to be noticed and not ignored.

Oh goodness I'm so emotional today! LOL This is almost as bad as my 1 yr surgiversary! I was between laughing and crying all day.

It will be in the mid 60's today...such a nice change from the cold weather and the sun will be shining as I drive to go see my lifesaver....*insert song* What a wonderful world!!!!!

Also remember you saved your life by making the first step to go through the process.  And as we where told that the surgery is just a tool while the doctors are tools as well working through god.  Remember tears of happiness is always great keep up the good work and all will work out and be fine.

Awesome day! I think of my surgeon as my lifesaver, too!! Such a kind, compassionate man with the amazing surgical skills. Remember, he did his part, but you are the one that has used your tool to lose all that weight! Congratulations!

Tabby,

You have had so much success, I can't imagine how it must feel to be able to show the results of your work to the one who helped to be able to achieve them.  Please let us know how it went.  I bet he was as excited as you are.

Thank you all for your kind words

I went to see the surgeon yesterday and as if the weight coming off is not reward enough, the staff was so amazed when they saw me lol It started with the ladies at the front desk...they said omg!!!! Look at you!! How much have you lost? how do you feel?? you look so different!! We were so busy talking they could barely get me checked in. It was so nice to see them again. The assistant that always weighs me said oh you are looking so good...and my blood pressure was perfect! 7 more pounds gone...I need to go update my health tracker! The battery in my scale at home died and I haven't replaced it yet so I didn't know how I had done the past 2 weeks. wooo hoooo!

The surgeon came in...smiling from ear to ear and said oh there is my incredible shrinking woman!!!! LOL He gave me a big hug and I tried not to cry. He said I'm doing great, and also gave me a referral to the plastic surgeon to get some of the skin around my abdomen removed because it is....wheww...well you know! I look like a melted candle, but better hanging skin than skin full of fat! he was pressing on my stomach and said you have realllyyyyyyy lost alot of weight!

Then I went to the lab to have my blood drawn and the lab tech said she barely recognized me! wow wow wow!!!!

So to sum it up I had a FABULOUS DAY!!!!! Even though I was there for like 2.5 hours LOL
