How to Sabotage your Weight Loss

1.  Don't bother with counting proteins - you can just figure you get enough.
2.  Don't exercise, the reduction in food should do it.
3. Don't avoid temptation, just take tastes of everything you see, or they put out (like at work)
4.  Don't seek support and advice from successful users.
5.  Don't celebrate success, just go right on to the next goal.
6.  Don't drink your water.
7. Ignore body signals that you are full (or not hungry) and eat what you want/can.
8. Always compare yourself with others, especially if they lose faster, so you can feel bad.
9. Don't use good stress management, instead go back to using food to deal with feelings.
10. Don't listen to your own nut or surgeon, just do what other people post that they do.

These 10 steps should help to assure you won't get anywhere close to your goal.  Any questions?

SORRY - just had to do it.   I'm struggling with Step 3!

LOL - It HAS been an extremely challenging week.  Plus I went to a WLS support group last night, and realized how some people just sabotage their own success.  I sure has h.ll don't want that to be me!!!

No questions!!! Great post! I struggle with 5, 8 and 9.... and could add a few more to the list.  I am amazed surprised and constantly kept on alert by how creative I am in coming up with ways to sabotage myself.  I try to remove myself from myself and consciously talk myself out of the danger zones.  I used to talk to myself because I was bored or lonely.. now im just crazy! (kinda...)! Love & Hugs,

Thank you for posting this list.  I'm going to save it and put it with my goals!  I'm sure I'm doing several of these and I'm just starting out.  What a great reminder.

Thanks, Mary! I bookmarked this. I've struggled with all these things.
#3 is definitely my struggle. Now that the holidays are over, I'm finally back to my usual routine. I tend to forget to write down the "bites", so I have promised myself to write everything down.
