Weekly Check In: Revenge of the Sugar Cookie!

I am usually just about last since I weigh on Wednesday, but since today was my official weigh in for my 3 month post op I will post.

HW: 361
SW: 350
LW: 304.2
TW: 301.5

That's 59.5 # gone, I was hoping to hit the 60# mark at least  or 61.5 to get to twoterville, but it will happen.  On a funny side note I wanted so badly to see those numbers that I took off my shoes AND my jeans at the doctors office. (a bit crazy I suppose) but stil fell a touch short, I guess I should have taken off the jewelry and watch.  The docs assistant said I could not run around nude(and I am not that crazy, yet, onederland may push me over the edge, but I am jumping too far ahead)

I did have 3 tiny bites of stuffing and one of my favorite cookies over the holiday, but I went right back to program.  I also made a green bean casserole with greek yogurt instead of sour cream, and it actually tasted just as good. Oh and I wanted cake, so I made one of eggface's protein cakes, the banana caramel, and YUMMY it was great and hit the right spot.

You're doing great!!

At Thanksgiving, we tried using greek yogurt in the mashed potatoes. It was pretty good at the first meal. However, the leftovers were a little sour.

I need to try one of Eggface's protein cakes. I look and drool, but never do anything about it.

Thanks! I keep trying to compare to my lowest adult weight, which was after I lost 80# on WW(in a little over a year's time), but then gained back the 80 and he brought along almost 40 friends. So I keep trying to remind myself 60 in 3 months is great, it took soooo much longer to lose this much before, it's all perspective I guess.

The leftover casserole was fine, might be different combination of ingredients help.  Just make sure when you do the protein cake you use a protein flavor/type you really like.  I had tried chocolate before and didn't like it soo much.

I am gonna toast a slice of the banana carmel for dessert, YUMMY!

Can you give me the recipe for that cake?  I am not a cook at all and am having a hard time coming up with replacements for my favorite desserts.  I actually had a dream the other night that I was trying to find a low carb birthday cake that I could serve for my kids and husband's birthdays but I couldn't.  I actually woke up sad that I could never have birthday cake again.  :)

I have tried to do some recipe hunting online but I am not too familiar yet with all the replacement ingredients they have and since I am not a cook anyway, it is kind of scary to go out and order all these ingredients online to maybe not like what it makes....

Anyway, if you have any easy recipes for desserts that I can purchase the ingredients at a normal store - I would LOVE to have them...

I really like this board...

Thanks!

You need to checkout Eggface's blog. She used to pretty regularly frequent the boards here, but not so much anymore. She has lots of great recipes for different things.

Her egg bites are just wonderful. My non-RNY hubby loves them -- I can't keep them in the freezer because he inhales them.

She has these cakes you can make in a coffee mug. I really want to try making one.

OOPS.... wrong way!   Could it be the carb-o-holic tendencies I displayed at parties and work?  Too many holiday goodies find their way into my mouth.  I'm not sure I dump, haven't yet.  Cookies, candies, crackers... YIKES - get a grip!   I'm working on it.

You can do it!

The carb demons are awful. I figure they'll catch up with me next week. (I really don't know how I escaped them this week.)

Luckily, most of the Japanese New Years celebration stuff we eat is protein-based (although sometimes sweet at the same time).
