Just found this board on OH. Wish I'd found it earlier. I had RNY 8/31/09 and am down 80#. I'm feeling better but I still have soooo far to go on this journey. I need to see that there are people like me that have a ways to go too. I know I've done pretty good although with sooo much to lose 80# is only about a third of it! I'm still having problems with getting enough fluids in though. I'm doing ok most days with the protein. Looking forward to being under 300 hopefully before 1/1/2010!

Welcome to this board. I know it's discouraging to have so much to lose, but think of that 80 lbs that you don't have to carry around with you all the time! I had a real eye opening moment when I saw a firefighter competition and the firefighter was carrying the person on his back and they were remarking on how STRONG he was and I thought, "I'm carrying around a whole other person 24 / 7 and IT'S WEARING ME OUT!" So every pound is a relief as far as I'm concerned.

Hang out with us. We'd like that!!

welcome Theresa.

This is the best board out there.. I flirt around with the others but this is where I call home.. the people are the best.. I am sure will will feel at home here too..

Congrat on the losing 80 lbs..    I know its hard when you have so much more to go.. I have lost 75 but still have over 100 to go, so I truly understand.. as will many on this board.. just hang in there you will be half way before you know it and then 3/4 and then at goal... time will go by fast..
keep us informed of your progress..

Welcome- this is a great board.....as a lot of folks on OH are lightweights and can't understand how much harder and longer we have to work. Stay the course!!!
