It's me again...you know the one that thought I would be 299 by now
I just wanted to let everyone interested know that I am still really excited but my scale is ruling my life these past few days. I posted prior about being so close to the 2 on the scale but I'm still just waiting, trying patiently. It is perfectly at 300(once it dropped to a 299 when I stepped on to continue teasing me but then jumped right back to 3), and usually I pay no attention to my scale. Still excited just not flying high as I was before, who knows maybe I will leave the scale alone for a week a see what happens. Anyway hope everyone is doing great in their journey and have a wonderful weekend.
LOL...I know exactly what you mean. I get on my scale 5 times and get 5 different readings. I can't tell you how close that darn thing has come to getting fired out the front door lately!! LOL.
I'm hoping for twoterville for Christmas too. What a great gift it will be for both of us. I have faith it will happen for both of us!! :)

It is really exciting, I am sad it hasn't happened for you YET, but there is NO question it will happen. I am close too, well the closest I've been in a LONG time, I am hoping to start the new year tn twoterville, but if I don't I WILL get there as will you. I can't imagine the anxiety for the next BIG goal. Which for me will be 250# which is the smallest I have a memory of being. This is an amazing journey, isn't it!
you'll get there dont worry... i know the feeling to well... seems like it took me forever... an then if finally got there.. my worst fear was it going bk up an due to eating extra salt to keep my blood pressure up.. im above 300 again well right on line.. but stil sighs.... but i can fit in 2x clothes an i havent been able to do that since i was a pre-teen.. so woot go us.... we can an will win this battle with obesity... dont let the scale rule u... an remmeber ur building muscles so that may account for the weight not budging..
The best advice I can give you is the advice I got from everyone on here when I was freaking out about the scale.. DON"T WEIGH.. only weigh once a week at the most.. I had to actually hide my scale.. I thought I could do it without hiding it, but it was too tempting to walk past it and hop on.. that is a great way to make yourself crazy and be so disappointed that you want to give up and eat something..
Christmas is here with all the stresses of the holidays along with it.. stress can really make our bodies do stange things.. so get rid of the stress of gettig to twoterville. it will come before you know it.. I bet that you will have a great Christmas if you forget about the scale and concentrate on the blessing you have so far..
I am sure you will be in twoterville before the New Year.. what a great way to start a new year.. so dont stress or that 1 lb will make you nuts and make you get discouraged.. it is only 1 lb.. ONLY 1 LB...

As nice as whole, round numbers are, they really don't mean anything in the big scheme of things. Dropping from one hundreds digit to another means not much if you really think about it.
WARNING: GEEK ALERT!!
For instance, your 299 pounds is based upon some arbitrary weight someone came up with for measuring the weight of grain or something else of value under a certain king at one time. (Wikipedia is not real clear on who we should blame for the pound.)
You also weigh (at normal gravity here on Earth) 136 kilograms or 21 stone. If you went to the Moon, you'd weigh just under 50 pounds. If you went to Jupiter , you'd weigh 709 pounds (if you're going there for a visit, you should probably cut back on the salt for a little while).
I like the metric system. At least it's based upon scientific stuff and not what Good King Harold or his local grain merchant arbitrarily decided was good. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metric_system
So you really weigh 136!! Let's go with that for the day. Or if you really want to slim down, you can go with 21 stone (but that always makes me think of those big rocks some people plunk into the middle of their lawns to "landscape").
Because as Americans who grew up with the pound and ounce system (although kilograms and grams are easier to do math with), we really don't have a frame of reference for dealing with kilograms on a daily basis. So let's use them to temporarily feel good about ourselves!
The truth is, you're doing great. We all have these little stalls (as annoying as they are).
Can you tell I'm trying to avoid working on something at work?
(And I forgot to check if you're from the U.S. -- if you're not, can you pretend for a minute?)
