Poll: What do you want to be able to do
that you couldn't when you were at max weight?
If you've achieved it, please share.
I would really love to go for long bike rides in the morning as my exercise. Probably not when it's 24 degrees outside. I'm thinking more like summer, when 6 a.m. is the only time a day I could ride without risking heat stroke. (I live in the Mojave Desert.)

One food makes you larger, and one food makes you small...
YOU WILL GET THERE!
I totally relate. I squeezed myself into the seats at the Blue Man Group in Las Vegas two years ago. I think I did damage to my knees besides splooging over the arm rests. One of the Blue Men came out into the audience walking on the armrestsbetween people's seats and he had to veer off in a different direction when he came to me.
When I went to see Wicked with my sisters, it took me 2 minutes to stand up afterwards because I was so smushed into the nosebleed seats we had.
I was so uncomfortable in regular seats!!! I think I might fit now!

I have/had so many things i wanted to do that i couldn't
no longer have to worry about the size of chairs: this is over for the most part, haven't found one yet that i can't get into. I have even gone to the theatre twice and fit very nicely!
wear jeans: we all know i can do this now lol
wear my seatbelt: wooo hooo can do this now too!
ride a horse: ok this is 100lb away...but i know it's coming one day...and when it does...oh goodness!
These are the things that currently come to mind, but honestly...just everything i used to be able to do and couldn't.
When i put on my belt this morning after i tucked in my blouse because it doesn't have to be on the outside anymore, i literally cried, i told my boyfriend i'm starting to look like a normal person! That has got to be my number one wish...

At my highest weight, I struggled to walk short distances when it was flat. I struggled with
asthma with minimal exercise. My husband wanted me to go on hikes with him and the family. I would be wiped out after a few minutes, and have to return to the trailhead and wait for everyone to come back. It was very frustrating for all involved. I think non SMO people have no idea how physically difficult it is to start an exercise program. You have to start where you're at- you can't just step out of a car and climb a mountain, (which is what my family expected me to be able to do.) I am in tears as I write this. I just felt like I was always holding my family back from doing fun things.
Well, over the past 14 months I have gradually got my mojo back. I started with pushing a grocery cart around the perimeter of a Costco or Walmart. I'd try to go a little farther every day. When it wasn't raining too hard or too cold, I'd walk outside.
My husband got me a bike for Mother's Day/ birthday present, so I do that, too. This past summer, I was able to do several hikes in the Cascade Mountains. It was wonderful!! My family was actually telling me to slow down!!! I finally was able to fit in my husband's kayak, too, (but I feel much more comfortable on solid ground).
