I am 17 months out, 115lbs down and 15lbs from goal... the journey has been the most amazing journey I have EVER had and a life saver, might I add. There have been ups and downs, but what would a journey be without bumps in the road that make you hit your head on the ceiling, pot holes that ruin your rims and blac**** that makes you swerve out of control? LOL I mean, what fun would it be if the journey was perfect? LOL Plus... the harder I work for it, the more worthy of it I feel.

I went to a specialist doctor today. He saw that I had the band (in my chart). He asked me about my weight loss and congratulated me, then asked how much I wanted to still lose. I said, "Fifteen pounds." He said, "Fifty?" I corrected him and then he said, "Oh ok, because you do NOT need to lose 50lbs... 15 is good." Haha.... that made me feel great! :)

I was scared to get surgery... I started it with pure hopelessness after tries and tries and many failures. I was convinced I was doomed to die from obesity. Now I have my life back... I cannot begin to explain how much I love my band... it's like a miracle.. but also a miracle that had a lot of effort behind it.

You are so young and SO SUPER adorable!  I am proud of you for doing such a fantastic job with your band.  It was very hard work I am sure of it!

Oh how cool is THAT? You have a photo of your actual band being put on your stomach. Awesome. i just had a band Tuesday and I can't quite figure out where it is yet. I'm too sore to poke around much. The port site is pretty obvious. It's keeping me from being hungry, so that's all that matters.

Congratulations on losing the weight. You look GREAT now.
