And you thought you were rid of me today...... Surgery at 7:30. Home by 12:30. I sent my husband to the store for SF popsicles and apple juice. I have a terrible sore throat. They had trouble intubating me and it hurts to talk. Other than that, I'm good. I walked, peed, drank 2 cups of fluid and then left the hospital walking Lab bands are pretty easy so far.

I'm taking 2 of the prescription pain pills and going to bed with my CPAP. Really appreciate everyone's kind messages.

Patty got it right. They gave me one Oxycontin to take before I left home to go to the hospital. It certainly took the edge off things. I have something called Ultracet for home use. I took 2 at one time and took a nap.

I'm a little freaked out because they had trouble intubating me. I have this stupid extra large TONGUE, which makes my sleep apnea worse and blocks the visibility of my airway when they put the breathing tube in. (I told my friends today that, if I believed in reincarnation, I would like to come back next time with a smaller tongue and bigger boobs!) Anyway, I had the head anesthesia doc staring down my throat pre op and he said "no problem" but there was a problem. I need a total shoulder replacement surgery eventually, so there will be more anesthesia. Guess I can't do anything about it other than lose weight and see if that helps.

I have the rest of the week off and I'm thinking I can do some crafts and stuff that I like to do. EXCELLENT news. Plus I get full liquids the rest of this month. I'm hoping for some thinned out oatmeal tomorrow (just a little bit!).

OK, who's next to join us on the Loser's Bench??
