Morning all!

I've been MIA, off Medifast and struggling with food issues. Trying to not to gain too much as I stabilize after quitting smoking. I needed a rest from the Medifast, but it is sure bringing up food issues. I need a tool that will whack me upside the head if I get like a horse in the oat bin.

I have been walking more. Last weekend Clay & I got new kitchen appliances for ourselves for Christmas, which involved alot of walking at the store. They did have a chair, but still it was alot of activity for me. Then this past weekend we went to a holiday market of vendors from our local Saturday Market. I got my dog granddaughter 2 totally cute outfits. She is about 60 lbs, part Lab, German Shepherd & Pit Bull, so is too big for most cute outfits. I'll post pics.

Start - 450
Lowest - 360
TW - 380

Quitting smoking is way high up there on the list of things that are hard to do. Keep plugging along!

I'm not going to vent too much about my amazing weight-loss-stoppage. I am just sayin' that I'm  thankful I am down from the 273 the scale was said last Friday morning.

My back is feeling a little better. I'm not taking the vicodin and muscle relaxant at the same time anymore.

My mom goes in for her heart surgery on the 21st, so the plan this week is to drink water when I'm feeling stressed, rather than grabbing a cookie.  I'll probably gain a couple pounds with the slosh factor (hopefully enough to dump some fat). The family is coming to my house later in the week and we're doing Christmas Sunday (might have to start mixing the vicodin and muscle relaxant again).

Starting Weight: 388
Last Week: 269
Today: 269

Both Clay & I are doing well on not smoking. Our daughter showed up for a surprise visit this weekend, and she's still smoking. Both of us were repelled, not tempted. Yay!

Hope all goes well for your mom. An added benefit of the water will be that the need to "release" it will get you up and walking, a good way to burn off tension.

Hang in there!

April 09 (highest): 389
August 09 (surgery): 340
Last week: 274
This week: 272

Ugh 2lbs, well I guess it's better than gaining- it's just that I worked out 5 days this week (including 2 days of jogging)! I think I may need more protein, I haven't been keeping track....well maybe this week I'll do better!

I've been seriously slacking in the exercise area. Need to get back on the treadmill.  The good news is that I lose 2 lbs while on vacation!  That's never happened before, ever!

I seem to be losing about 2 lbs/wk - but I'm not seeing anything happening in the clothes sizes. I would love to say "so long" to plus sizes!  Currently, a size 20 or 22, depending on the store....

Vacations can surprise you! You're having so much fun you don't notice that your activity level is up.

Welcome back, Patty. I've missed your face. Congrats on tackling the smoking. I did Medifast in 2005 or so and it DOES get tiring. I did some shopping/walking yesterday too. I did 4 stores, with a long break in a chair in one store to talk to my son who called from Korea. I think it was one store too many as my knee was killing me, but it's not any worse today, so no flare up.

I hope the food beasties don't tackle you too badly. I've been doing pre op liquids and have had a TERRIBLE craving for a tuna salad sandwich, which is something I rarely eat. Oh well.
Food is for sissies. REAL women exist on skim milk, protein powder, broth and air.....

One good thing about the food beasties is that my hubby is starting to understand whay I need the surgery. Every time I fall off the wagon I'm confessing so he sees the scope of my problem. He's been scared of me having the surgery. I need him on my side. I think he is getting it.

You're almost there Rhonda! What time tomorrow?
