Sometimes It Takes Too Long!

To notice changes takes too long!  I tried on clothes last night, being warned by other RNY'ers that you don't want to wait until they are too big for you.

I'm 2 and a half months out, and my top half is way down - bra is hanging on me, tops fit that haven't fit in years - but my legs, hips, and a$$ just don't want to let go of the fat!  So, pants and jeans are not working.  Oh, well.  It will come.

The weight is coming off - 56 pounds I'll never see again!

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY!  Working on the next 25.  Then I'll tackle more...

Isn't that frustrating?

I'm down to a regular women's 2X up top -- still in 26/28 down below.  (started out at fat ladie's 4X up top, 36 on the bottom)

The best thing I did was go and get a new bra. Treat yourself!!

I'm 7 and a half months out and went very quickly from a size 32/34 to a 22.

Don't get me wrong - I love being a smaller size (at least I can shop in any dept store's plus size section), but I seem to be stuck here.

I'm still losing about 2 lbs/wk, but it's taking sooooo long to change sizes!  I started buying more clothes in size 22 since it seems I'm going to be here for a while. Hope I didn't buy too much!

I've heard that this is pretty common for ladies- losing the top half first and then the bottom half. I'm in the same boat.

I was wearing a 4x top in mens' down to a 2x, and a 58 pants down to a 48. Still got a ways to go though- I can't wait to be a 44 so I can shop at Old Navy-

ahh cheap clothing...big folks clothes are too expensive!!

I'm 6 mons out as of this Wed... and I was in an XXL top and I wear mostly mediums now, but vary between M & L....

but... (butt? ha ha)

Pants.. grr.. I still have alot of tummy fat to lose as well as waiting for my legs to thin out. I went from a 22 down to a 16 pretty fast.. but was in a 16 for awhile.. and now I'm down to a 14 but I've been in a 14 FOREVER... I feel heavier on the bottom than the top too.. I know I have the next 6 mons to slowly lose the extra 30-40 lbs.. So I'll be patient and work my tool like a good girl.. but it is frustrating... and I know things are slowing down.. just like they said the loss would at 6 mons

I'm working out   and eating right  .. and keepin on keepin' on!

Hey, Mary. Congrats on the weight loss. I figure a loss from ANY part of my body is that much weight I don't have to haul around when I walk. Although, I did get a visit from the Mother of the Bride yesterday and a swatch of the bridesmaids dresses (purple!) so we can coordinate colors, so I'm feeling some PRESSURE to get thinner. I told her I was waiting until the last possible minute to get my dress as I want to lose weight. WEdding is 9/4/10. I've lost 43 lbs pre op but can hardly tell at all. Surgery TOMORROW!
