I cannot believe how much this surgery has changed my life! It's like every time I turn around I feel like...wow...did i really do that?

Whether it is cleaning more than one room without having to rest, or that I can wear jeans now...and I don't need the biggest size in the store...(that often didn't fit unless it was stretchy anyway)or the fact that i can sit comfortably in my car AND wear my seatbelt...

well....my boyfriend...who seems to love introducing me to new and terrifying experiences *lol* had a new challenge for me the day after thanksgiving. As it was, we went to the renassaince festival and i went on the giant swing...first ride i've been on since i was 18. This weekend we went for a massage!!!! OMG!!!I was thinking so hard how could i get out of it...i was like omg...i cannot do this. But since I promised, i kept my word...and...I fit on the table...the therapist didn't faint or anything LOL it was such a wonderful experience. I had to write on my chart that i had RNY 12/2008 and the therapist was so supportive giving me advice and invited me back to be sure that the circulation in my legs continues to improve...

WOW WOW WOW!!!!! I can't believe I did it...and enjoyed it!!!!

All the little WOWs make life exciting. Thanks for sharing. I smiled when I read each of them.

I love all the big and the small WOW moments we get to experience as the weight comes off.  I think that, we as a group, experience these moments with a little more relish than do the "lightwieghts".  I'm not trying to take away from thier experiences, just saying that ours might be a bit sweeter.   Unless you've ever not be able to sit behind the wheel of your car and not have the steering wheel rub your belly, you can't know what its like to have space between you and the wheel...unless you've ever scanned the room looking for a chair your sure will hold you, you cant know what its like to sit in any chair without fear.. The list could go on..but ya'll get my point I'm sure.  I love to sit and just feel my bones...arms bones, hip bones, shoulder blades...no one but ya'll can understand that!!

I am so feeling this post! Every little difference we notice is a BIG one to us, no doubt! Not having the steering wheel erode my big belly is great! Being more relaxed about evaluating the strength of chairs in a room is wonderful! Even fitting into a booth, woah! I flew in October and ALMOST didn't need the seatbelt extender, but I fit in the seat sooo much better and didn't feel like I was spilling onto the next passenger! These things are marvels that we'll always remember...

Peace to all of you!

April, I am a self-caressing bone feeler myself, heh! Who knew there was a collarbone on me, and dammit, that shin bone that appeared gets nicked by my razor every other day!

My husband pointed out my collarbone to me today!  And yesterday a co-worker who has been out since my surgery came back from her medical leave and was raving about my weight loss.  Yay!!

CONGRATS ON YOUR WOW MOMENT(S)!!!! It's those little things that really make our journey worth it!

I went shopping on Thanksgiving night and bought my first PLEATHER jacket! My sis was with me and I went straight for a 26/28. She looked at me as if I were NUTS! She made me sheepishly go get an 18/20 off the rack and would you believe that DAMN thing fit...a lil snug but it fit!!! WOW!! My sis said, "Give it a couple of weeks and it'll fit really perfect!!"  AMAZING!!

Then I went to Lane Bryant for those comfy jeans and I've ALWAYS been a BLUE 7 (curvy all over) last time I bought some ...the sales associate looks at me and says, "You are a definite RED...a 3 I suspect."  I was like, "NO WAY" and low and behold...WOW MOMENT!!!

So congrats on your accomplishments!!! Your hard work, dedication, and sacrifice are an inspiration!!! Keep up the great work!!!!

Oh wait...just one more thing....

My jeans...(oh yeah i can wear jeans!!!) are only fitting temporarily these days...they are falling off my hiney LOL I have tried to dry them (never used to dry anything but undies and pj's because i was scared they would shrink!!!) but they only fit for an hour or two and then back to sliding down.

So I figured ok...maybe just maybe I could get a belt. So I went looking online avenue.com (i'm hooked)and they had some belts. I really needed one...but when I looked they only went up to a 3x. Well, i figured I will order them because they are cute and eventually they will fit.

They arrived yesterday...and guess what??? the damn things fit!!!! and not on the first hole...but all the way down to the 3rd and it was still loose!!!!! OMG! Don't know how much more I can take LOL

Well, I had VSG about 5 1/2 weeks ago.  I have dropped about 30# since surgery.  Yesterday morning I put on an outfit I was busting out of before (literally, seams and all) and it fit loosely.   I tried on several more clothes to find the same thing.  My rings are very loose now.  All my coworkers have noticed the change in my diet, but they don't know I had surgery.  Today the clerk said she noticed that I am getting smaller.  I am excited about what is to come.  I have a party to go to this weekend for my uncle's birthday and I am actually looking forward to it.  I am excited about what I'll wear.

I would just like to say a great big WOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!! to all of us!

I swear this feels soooooooooo good! Last night I went to the avenue because I had a coupon, buy one pair of shoes get the second for 10.00...and don't ya know...my foot shrunk!!!! I am now a size 9, down from a 10WW

All of this good news is exhausting isn't it? LOL

I too need to go get my rings sized because they are spinning around on my fingers.

Congratulations to all of you for what you have accomplished and all that we have yet to experience!
