Hello!  I just got the courage to post and introduce myself too!  I've been lurking on here a few weeks myself.  Congratulations on losing 31 lbs.  Have you already had your surgery?  I just found out today my insurance company approved my RNY so I will get to schedule the surgery on Monday.  Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

Ok - here is some more info! :)  I am already approved for surgery - with Kaiser if you are excepted into the program, then the surgery is already approved.  I think your BMI and such are what qualifies you.  I am on the 6 months of working with the dietician that I need to do.  I have already lost 18 of the 34 pounds that I need to with her in 1 month! :) I'm excited!  I have seen the therapist 1 of my 2 required visits.  I haven't picked a surgery yet because that is just to scary for me to think of yet. I'm a little chicken!  I did find out from the dietician if I keep doing so well just working with her and I want to post pone or not do the surgery that I am allowed to do that.  So I guess I just have a lot of determination right now!  I have noticed that I get sick to my stomach if I eat something like pie that is too sweet!  I guess that is a good thing except my brain still thinks that they will taste good.

I just wanted to say that you are all doing good on your weightloss!  I have been checking in to see how you are all doing and it has been very encouraging to me!  So Thank You! :)

Keep Smiling! The path/journey is worth the results!

Good for you for doing so well without surgery. Sometimes it just takes us FOCUSING to lose weight. I can lose 40 lbs at a time, but I can never KEEP it off, thus, I'm having surgery. Take your time and figure out what you want to do. Sounds like you have a good team to work with.
