 I really appreciate all the prayers and good wishes and support from everyone in my battle with the scale and the insurance .. It really paid off.. I DID IT>>>>

the scale at the surgeons office yesterday read 236  thats 2 lbs under the PCP scale number of 238 that was given to the insurance on Nov 4th.. I DID IT I DID IT>>>SO it is finally a go...

I am scheduled to have surgery on the 23rd.. at 8am... 

I am headed out the door to go shopping for the last minute items.. but I had to get on here and post this first.. I am so so excited.. I WON>> I BEAT THE INSURANCE AT THEIR GAMES>> yippee

big big thanks to all my OH friends.. without your support and encouragement I would have never been able to be so determined..
next step surgery and a spot on the loosers bench...

Yeah Teresa!  I am almost 1 month out from surgery and there is still nothing better than when you first wake up and have had the surgery done and the great sense of joy/accomplishment that you finally made it to the other side!!!  That and the rapid melting!!!!!  All those months of struggling with trying to lose preop to please the insurance and the surgeon and then after the surgery I have just about matched all that effort in the first month!!  I think going through all the trial and tribulation before being able to get surgery (mine 8/08 until 10/20)  really helps in the long run.  I look back at that time now as the greatest oppurtunity I was given to be able to work on my food issues and start learning as much as I could about the surgery options and what would be required in my new life and learning how others were doing and handling things.  I can appreciate it a lot more now that it is in my past!!  I dont even feel like I need anything for the holidays, I already got what took me 15 months to get.  I will keep you in my thoughts on the 23rd.  Donna

I think I def appreciate this alot more..5 years trying to get surgery was a long time.. then the hell the insurances have put me through.. wow this surgery was so much work getting here that is is like Gold.. Your right its the best Christmas ever.. I dont care about any gift other than the gift of surgery...

wow you have done great Donna.. loosing as much in one month as you worked all those months for.. thats just so fantastic.. keep it up, you are a great inspiration..

I appreciate you keeping me in your thoughts the day of surgery.. I am a little scared but so happy and excited at the same time.. If my health was better I wouldnt be so scared.. but I know the 67 lbs I've lost really will make a difference in it not being quite such a risk..
