surgeon appt on Monday

All my papers are finally into the insurance.. I am just waiting now for the approval..  My surgeon wants me in to see him on Monday the 16th.. I will also see the nut.. If I do not have approval by then they are still going to set a surgery date.. We know the approval will be in soon.. My surgery will either be the 23rd or the 30th.. I think I will ask for the 30th because so much to do and only a week to do it would be so stressful.  Hubby has to ask off work. we have to make reservations at a hotel near the hospital and get all I need at home for after surgery in place.. I think if the approval is not there on the 16th I would worry myself to death if it would make it there for surgery on the 23rd.  less stress the better.. at least it looks like it will be this month.. yippee... I still have to do a liquid diet but may only have to do one week instead of two since I have already lost 65 lbs on this other diet.. that would be great..

I found a treadmill today too for $75.00.. it is like new only a couple of years old.. they did not use it like they thought they would so it is my gain..

My car was broke and we thought for sure it was the universal joint.. but it wasnt and all it cost to get it fixed was $46.00

it seems like things are finally going the right way for me.. FINALLY....I am so excited. 
and here is the best news.. I just figured it out today.. I have got my weight down to 238lb.. which means for 4'10" tall my BMI is 49.7....  I am under 50.... I am so thrilled.. I started with a BMI of 63.  I know my surgery will be so much easier now..

ok well that is all my news for now.. I will let you all know when I get a definate date of surgery and when I get an approval..  It is so close I am getting nervous yet excited ...

I'm sure the approval will come through soon. With all the good luck, maybe you need to visit a casino (Just kidding!! -- Lotto?)

This is the first time anything has gone right.. I have fought from the very beginning 5 years ago through all kinds of road blocks and problems. Now that it is so near it almost doesn't seem real..  Hey your not kidding I would be tempted to play the lotto I could use it for the astronomical deductible my insurance has.  lol   But I am sure not ready to tempt fate.. I am just going to be happy with what has gone right so far.

Theresa, I hope and pray that you will get your surgery approval and a date soon. I know your surgery will be a success. You have worked so hard for this!!! I know how frustrated I got jumping through all the necessary hoops and delays, and I only had to wait a year! That time really helped me get mentally prepared and educated about post-op life. I only lost 39 pounds before surgery,but that weight loss, and walking daily for several months before surgery helped me sail through surgery. I could barely breathe when I started the whole process. The delays actually probably helped me in the long run, but 5 years!!! I admire your tenacity in hanging in there!!! There is a nice warm spot on the loser's bench that is reserved for you............very soon, I hope. Good luck to you!

I can hardly believe that it has been 5 years.. It has been a drawn out process with the insurances.. I guess anything that is worth anything is worth this much trouble.. I know one thing.. Anyone that was not really prepared to work this hard would have given up a long time ago.. Maybe it is better that those get weeded out of the process..
I have learned so much waiting. I have done so much research and learned so much I cant believe how much there was to know and I still am learning.. I know the weight loss will help me.. I was like you I could hardly breath to walk to my mailbox which is 100 yards.. I would have to sit in a chair I strategically placed in the yard before the return trip to the house.  I can now walk a 1/2 mile with out getting out of breath.. I know this will make it easier on me.. I know the weight being off my joints has really helped.  I also know the liver has shrunk so the doctors wont have such a hard time and maybe I wont be so sore and hurting after surgery.

That sounds so awesome! I hope you get your date soon.

It sure helps with money situation right now..
