how long?
Now I know that everyone is different, but I am looking to see how everyone else faired? I am approaching my six months surgiversary...and I am quite nervous that the scale is going to stop moving. Does it stop? Slow down?
To tell you a little more about myself...I will be 6 months out of RNY on Nov 26th. I started at 355 and I am currently 220...so thats 135 pounds lost. I do exercise almost daily at the gym...minimum 30 minutes...and I consume anywhere from 800 to 1200 calories a day...depending on the day. thanks to all for your support!! I am looking to lose another 40 pounds and I am determined to get it off!!

We are all different. Today is my 2 year surgiversary and I started at 374 and am down to 222 currently. I only lost 26 pounds this past year, but the point is, I am still loosing. The last time I lost any weight, I was still doing cardio, but I've been having issues with my knees, had the flu, and have had really odd work hours so cardio has all but stopped.
I still weight train with my trainer 3 days a week though and am building and toning muscle.
You are doing awesome and as long as you continue to follow the rules of the surgery, protein first, veggies, then starchies, no drinking 30 minutes before and after eating, and exercise at least 60 minutes 3 times a week, you can expect to continue losing and keeping your excess weight off.
Congratulations on your successes thus far.

The scale will not stop moving as long as your energy output exceeds your calorie intake. If you eat more, the weight loss will slow, but if you return to exercise and eating less, your body will continue to burn the stored energy (fat).
Whatever limits we have are purely in our own minds. Finding the balance between intake and stable weight is a bit of a process, but if you believe in yourself and know that the pounds won't come back without your cooperation, you will be a lot more confident and empowered!
Keep steadily increasing your activity and eating for health, and that number will keep going down. You WILL be successful, Amy!
