Good Morning Folks!!

Well, I'm back to where I was on October 9 with my weight loss. I had gained a few and was getting seriously grouchy when I thought about it.

I went for a long walk with my dog in the beautiful weather we had yesterday. We both needed the exercise -- she's been getting the butter my mom leaves out on the table.

I will be working on my liquids and protein this week with the goal of getting back on the road.

I'm seriously craving pumpkin, so maybe I'll look for a pumpkin protein shake or see if Eggface has something pumpkiny.

Start: 388
Last Week: 281
This Week: 278

Have a great week!!!

Had my sleeve surgery Thursday, October 29th!!

I've been a work in progress. Sip, sip, sip. Finally made both my fluid and protein goals yesterday but I worked hard to do it. You really have to keep that sippin in mind, God forbid you take a nap, that could set you back a whole few hours....you may never catch up.

Crampy abdominal gas pain was something in itself. Boy was I relieved to start farting normally. Surgical gas pain was pretty much gone by the time I left the hospital. Only hit the morphine PCA twice while there as I hated the way it made me feel, didn't do too much for the pain but made me feel totally stoned and it made it difficult to pee. I walked a lot while there and am doing the same here. It's amazing how before surgery I could walk over 2 miles in less than 45 minutes but the past couple of days I walk 50 feet and need to catch my breath.

Started developing a chest cold while in the hospital. People had been dropping like flies at work and I thought I had been able to dodge it. No dice. I was coughing up yellow brown crud the first morning after surgery. Coughing with a nice, fresh, bruised inch and half incision by your belly button isn't very fun. Thankfully now the crud is more clear and the coughing has significantly dropped off.

Every day is a bit better than the last. I wish I could fast forward like two weeks and get over this incisional pain, but all in due time I guess.

My stats are as follows -

Last Monday - 304.2
Day of surgery - 302.3
Post op day 2 - 310 (they were trying to increase my urine output and ended up giving me more than 7 liters of fluid in the 36 hours or so I was in the hospital, I sloshed when I walked...totally miserable)
This week - 303.6

Hope you make your goal!!

Getting in the last pound toward my first hundred was downright painful.

Start: 379 (also highest)
Surgery: 359
Today: 333
Goal: 150-160ish

I heard about the three-week stall, so I'm prepared to have the scale go nowhere for a few weeks.
