TODAY I AM NO LONGER IN THE TERRIBLE "200'S".

I DONT REMEMBER WHEN I HIT THE "300'S" BUT IT WAS 1994  WHEN I CROSSED THE 200 MARK.

I AM JUST SO HAPPY I COULD JUST BUST............

Congratulations on this accomplishment.

I know the year I weighed what I weigh now--1989.  Since that point, my weight was in the 200's, I hit the 300's in 1997 and 400's in 2005 and 2008, respectively.  I am now 211 and going down, albeit a lot slower.

I know that happy feeling--I am so grateful that I can walk without excruiating pain, fit behind the wheel of my car without creating a safety hazard, get out of my car without heaving my body out, taking up less room in a chair, not worrying about breaking chairs and toilet seats, and so many other blessings that WLS has given me.  My only regret is that it couldn't happen sooner.

Continued success on your journey.

Kelly,
Your results are amazing 110 lbs in 5 months, that's crazy good!.  It took me 8 months to lose 110.  I too was worried especially when I saw how others were losing so much more than I had, but then my nurse explained people lose different rates and my age was a factor too (58).  She said every year you age your metabolism slows down more and more.

As for your weight loss being over no way........ My Dr said I will proably continue to lose for up to 18 months so as you can see your journey has really just begin in spite of the awesome results you have already.  At this rate you will proably surpass your goal.

This is why I just love this web site, because when I  start to worry about my results someone comes along and says I can do it and I did (well almost)....................

I need to clarify my weight loss with dates which I failed to do in my original post so you can see my timeline.

Thanks, I am amazed at how fast the first 100 came off.  But it has taken me two months to get the last ten pounds off and I haven't lost any for almost six weeks.  But I'm still happy that I am so much healthier than I was.  I started exercising again, I know that I need to do that now that I can eat a lot more than I could in the beginning.

i AM AMAZED AT YOUR RESULTS AS WELL.   HERE ARE A FEW TIPS THAT HAVE HELPED ME WHEN THE LOSS STARTED TO SLOW DOWN.

-    JOURNAL YOUR DAILY CALORIC INTAKE TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT EXCEEDING YOUR DAILY TARGET

-   DRINK THE WATER

-  EAT MORE PROTEIN AND FIBER.  WATCH THE CARBS

-  SOME FORM OF  EXERCISE 30 MIN A DAY

-  SHOCK YOUR BODY BY INCREASING YOUR CALORIC INTAKE FOR A DAY OR SO IF YOUR CALORIC INTAKE HAS BEEN VERY LOW AND SWITCH UP YOUR FOODS.  IT'S LIKE OUR BODY HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN AND IT REALLY WANTS TO HOLD ON TO THE WEIGHT CAUSE IT THINKS WE ARE TRYING TO STARVE IT TO DEATH!

GOOD LUCK YOU WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE AWESOME RESULTS.   I AM SOOOOO HAPPY FOR YOU!
