NSV -- I got my boots on!!!
I'm so excited. 
After my big last weight gain a few years ago, I get some swelling in my left leg/ankle/foot that makes it almost impossible to get anything on other than tennis shoes. (I look so stylin' wearing a work blouse and slacks with running shoes--- not!) It's a good thing I don't live someplace where you need to have winter boots to survive because all my toes would've fallen off from frost bite by now.
Anyway, this morning I got my boots on!!! I'm so excited about it that I guess I'm glowing because I've had three different people tell me how great I look today.
Let's hope the swelling stays down.
Perhaps--dare to dream--I can soon buy some panty hose/knee highs/trouser socks and be able to wear cute pumps again!!!

that is a two thumbs up.... I know how you feel...I dont work but I have never been able to wear anything stylish.. Since I ahve been visiting the thrift stores I found a great pair of knee length boots. I knew they were too small for me then but I just had to have them.. It was 1/2 off day so they were super cheap.. I have lost 63 lbs now and the other day I was packing up my summer shoes and clothes some to sell and some to hold on to and I came across the boots I bought all that long ago.. I tried them on, they fit.. and then I started zipping them.. slowly they begin to come together and then yippee they were zipped.. I did a dance right then and there in those boots.. no one was here to share the news with but I kept saying out loud I did it I did it..
funny how little things in life now seem so great.. These are the times and victories we look forward too.. enjoy it and be proud..

We are in the same place pretty much when it comes to the numbers and stuff! My calfs are much better and so are my feet. There are several shoes that just don't fit anymore! What a wonderful feeling isn't it!!!
I got Just my size full length pantyhose for the first time in YEARS!!! for the OH event in NY and it was such an awesome feeling! You are next!!!!
Remember... a good night's sleep is great for the feet!!!!

Good for you!! For years my dream was to find the ultimate pair of black knee boots, but my calves were always too wide to fit. I was Lt. Janice Rand from the original Star Trek for Hallowe'en in 2007 and had to supplement the side gores of some great boots I found on Ebay with BLACK duct tape. Gotta love that duct tape! No one else noticed, but I really wanted to be able to zip those suckers up!
Well, I unpacked those boots last week and not only do they zip up, but there's room to spare! Yay! So it will happen...just takes time.
I also had a problem with swelling in my right foot due to a tendon injury that never healed well, and weight loss and exercise have almost completely cured the problem! It is wonderful to be able to fit into shoes I had to pack away for years--I feel your JOY!!
