Another question about 6 month diet...
So I was talking to somebody on OH and they told me that when they started their 6 months supervised weight loss diet their doc included the previous month that she went in. Even though it wasnt for weight loss they still documented all the info needed for insurance purposes. (Ht, wt, bmi, etc) So that knocked her down to 5 months.....
Anyway my question is I started my 6 months in Aug, but I went in on the 24th of July to ask my doc questions about the surgery. So she documented my info in that visit. So even if I officially started my diet on Aug 8 can she still document July's visit as the first month? (I know its only like 2 weeks, but the doc's visit was in the next month)??? OMG I hope I didnt confuse anybody! Thanks for your responses as always!
I have BCBS and I found the info on theei website and printed it out for clarification along the way. You might want to look and/or call your insurance company to find out the exact wording. Insurance companies are notorious for confusing wording!
I'm new to this journey, but I started my six month diet plan in June and my last day is Nov. 2nd it's not so bad, and I even tried to get my doctor to say that I had been there in May but she quickly told me no pain no gain, and I stopped trying to buck the system and it is going by quickly. I figured I have thought about having this surgery for two years, so six months really wouldn't make that big a difference. Just ride it out baby girl.
