New Milestones - Update

Back at work is the biggest!  I started back today and was welcomed by my co-workers.  We are a small office, with six females, and they missed me the past two weeks.  It is good to be back, at least it puts some normalcy back into life.

Yesterday I started on the "soft food" phase.  I'm two weeks out, and that is how my clinic does it.  So... I get to CHEW again.  I've had tuna, chicken, and today I have cottage cheese and peaches with me.  Mmmmm  Actually, it doesn't really matter BECAUSE I"M NEVER HUNGRY!  What a blessing that is.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY!  Working on the next 25.  Then I'll tackle more...

Hi Mary M
Hope your back to work is going well for you.  I went back on 10/13.  I am tired but doing it.  Getting up at 4 am can wear on a person.

I too am not hungry but know  have to eat.  Water too.  I am getting in my 64 oz but I think I may have a UTI inspite of my efforts.  It's mild so I am not concerned.

I am also able to have soft foods - but like you - not interested.  I am feeling a slump coming on today - 1 more day and get up then I can rest again.  I can't wait to start moving more.

Happy to hear you are working in a family like space - that really helps in the healing.

Keep up the great work and check in often.

Don't push too hard, but it sounds like you have a good handle on how much to do - both of you!

So good to hear all is well.

Mary I am so happy for you!

I am both looking forward to and dreading going back to work. Right now I am still so sore (and have a gaping hole in my stomach from the drain) I just cant imagine going back. But at the same time I really do miss having something to do every day.

Congrats on the soft food by the way! :) I have also noticed that I am not hungry at this stage and am LOVING IT! I went from always hungry to never hungry.

*hugs*

Congrats to all of you for plugging along and healing and getting stronger. Good luck. Be extra nice to yourself and don't push too much.

My office is getting impatient for me to have surgery. THREE pounds to go and I can submit to insurance. Should be pretty fast after that. It's wonderful to have support at work, isn't it?
