You ladies all had a great week! Start without me anytime.

I had a bad morning and did not get weighed. I'll try tomorrow, but am not expecting good results. I ran out of bars and bought some at the store to tide me over. Well, I ate em like they were candy bars. At least they have protein, but I feel sooo bloated. Urk.

Luckily my food box arrived today with pudding & bar refills. Binging on protein bars - shakes head at her own stupidity.

Hi everyone,

Well, now that I've finally had my surgery, I can participate in these Monday weigh-in's and stop my mostly lurking.

Surgery was 12 days ago and I was 344.
Today, I am 323.

So far so good.

Linda

Isn't it exciting to post a great week! I slept longer than I wanted, then ran late - no time for OH until now.

Feel free to start without me any time.

----------

Well, I weighed myself after a nice poo and the news is not good.

Start: 450
LW: 359
TW: 373 +14 OMG

Eating those protein bars like candy was NOT a good idea.

Why am I posting this bad behavior? I guess I feel like I have to be honest. If I only post the good, you won't know the real me. The "Bar Incident" shows me I can't do this without surgery.

This thread is not only for post-ops. Yeah, they lose much faster, but we ALL need to be accountable, whether we are on the bench or not.

Protein bars are a little too much like candy bars. I've done the same thing myself. (And I didn't post my weight that week -- I was too ashamed. You are a better person for it!)

But 14 pounds in a week? Methinks there's some water retaining going on. The only time I've ever gained 14 in a week was the week after I lost 13 pounds because I had food poisoning (in my WW days).

I hope the scale proves me right.

I can retain water just being in the room with a box of kosher salt or bottle of soy sauce.

When I was in GNC the other day, the petite girly behind the counter made a comment about bad stuff in some of the protein bars. And she specifically said salt.
