First of all, I started my liquid diet today and havent cheated yet, nor will I in the next week. I havent been hungry or anything, just practicing my sip sip sipping pre op.
Any who...

I am in a state of mind over load, with school, this operation and everything else.

So I am wondering what should I ask my surgen on the 8th when I have my pre op appointment.

I just dont know where to start, I know this is a valubale time to get my questions asked. So I would like your help in putting together a list.
Thanks Melissa

Well....it really depends on what YOU want to know! At my pre-op appt. I had questions about the RNY surgery itself, how he decided how much to bypass, how the stoma is formed and how he stitches both ends. I leaned he prefers to sew these together by hand instead of using staples like a lot of Drs. do. I asked about a goal weight, which he was very hesitant to state. He did say the goal I had in mind was very doable so maybe if you phrase it that way you'll get a better answer! I also wanted to know about recovery times. For instance how much can/cannot I lift, when I can get back in the pool, when can I do more than just walking. See if you can go ahead and get a list of the food on your food phases so you'll know what to have ready when you get home from surgery.

So just think about things YOU want to know about.
