Well, I cancelled my surgery... There is absolutely no way to come up with 25 grand!  My mom and my sister are going to help me lose weight on my own.   I am scared to go on my own.. yet...I was able to quit smoking in some extremely stressful times... I have a lil more will power than I took myself for granted.  I know that God brought me this far, I have faith and trust in Him.  I will do this.. I HAVE TO!  I have the most beautiful 2 year old boy that needs his MOMMY!!!!! I plan to put money aside each month as if I was making a payment.. and possibly use it to get my panni removed.. or whatever.  I still plan to come on here and update how I am doing.  I love the support and awesome friends that I have made on here!
God Bless..

Some journeys are longer than others. Keep going.

Decide on a plan a stick to it as best you can. If a routine of shake-lite lunch-shake-dinner does not work, give your body a break and do South Beach for a bit. Then another stint of the shake routine.

Drink, drink, drink water or Crystal Lite.

Increase your exercise in whatever ways you can. I walk more at work. I don't park in the handicapped spot unless I'm really tired. I try to swim at least 2x a week. I'd like to swim more, but am too tired.

Keep posting.

Meanwhile, start saving. Maybe you will have health insurance help by the time you are ready.

You can do it. We are stronger than we realize.

Can't you go somewhere that it won't cost $25k? Mexico, or a surgeon like mine in Michigan, who does the sleeve for around $11k and the RNY for $13k or so.

Hiya Brenda-I am so sorry you had to cancel...I really had no idea you were having a problem, I thought you had insurance all set up...did I miss a post???

I am so impressed that u stayed away from the smoking-especially with this kind of stress.  I will say though, that if surgery is not an option for whatever reason at the moment-weigh****chers may be a good way for you to get your body even more prepared for when the time comes that it is doable for you.  Please hang in there-I never believed it would happen for me...And fortunately for me, up until now it wasn't a possibility because of insurance issues.  Had I not had to wait this long, I would have ended up with the surgery that wasn't the right one for me. I don't generally believe that there is a "reason for everything"-but in this case, for me it was.

Stay strong-you are doing great!
