I was just wondering if anybody new if Medicare/ Medcaid paid for DS Surgery in Texas.    I was 386 pounds.  I am down to 361.  57 more pounds more to go before I can gastric - by- pass surgery.
Or a doctor who does it the Houston or Victoria area.

Every keeps say DS is better.

I think you are more likely to get an answer about that sort of issue on the DS board or your state board. I know folks in CA and OR have gotten it paid for. Dunno about other states.

The DS has a much lower failure rate for those with a BMI over 50 and is much more effective, great that you are doing your research.

I don`t know about medicare in Texas, but there is a surgeon with a good reputition in Texas who does the DS - Dr. Daryl Stewart. Just give his office a call and ask. You can get more info on the DS board.

Good luck!
