I need your prayers.
Also my hubby and I have been socking away every extra penny.. We have managed to save 3500.00 in the last two months but I still need 3500.00 more and only have a month left.. My hubby took a long haul job in Denver. It is suppose to pay real good and I hope we can do this.. I will have to have the $7000 or no surgery.. He is going to be gone all month.. the job will last until October 31th.. My best support is not here for me.. I really miss him and I am getting so worried about it all that I am getting headaches..
I dont know anything that anyone can do but pray for me.. I need the support now since he is so far away.. He calls everyday but it is not the same.. You guys are so great on this forum.. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers..

It's hard to do this without support. Bless your hubby for taking this long trip on to finance your surgery. If you need help, post here. There are other boards that may help too. Just typing stuff out helps me quite a bit. Do you have a local support group?
Do you need to change up your diet a bit to bust things loose? Let us know what you are eating and we may have some ideas for you.
Trust in God. Let him do the worrying.
I do understand the struggles on collecting the money... my situation.. a little different.. my insurance caps off at 7500 for bariatric surgery... I am responsible for what is left! *ouch* I just found out this morning that they want it up front no later than october 5th!
Have faith hon! Your hubby is awesome for what he is doing for you!
I have been on this liver shrinkage diet sine February. I lost 50 lbs on the 6 months supervised.. Now the new insurance wants me to loose more.. I started at 303lbs in February and the last official weigh in was 241... They want me at 245 or less. I am there but it is too close for comfort.. My surgeons scale may not be the same as my PCPs scale.. So I want to loose more but it seems like I can't get anymore off.. I am very limited in exercise because of a failed back surgery. I am walking 1/2 mile 4 times a week. I have to rest in between the walk days to let my back stop hurting..
This is the lowest I have been in weight for 15 years.. I think I may have reached a limit with the food and exercise.. I am scared.. I am eating about 800-1000 calories a day.. if I eat more I gain.. I am only 4'10" and with the limited exercise I have to limit the calories.. I am also doing the protein shakes for breakfast.. I'm not a big cereal person and I don't eat a lot of eggs and breakfast meats are too fat.. I eat things like a 3oz chicken breast for lunch with vegetables like mustard greens or Brussels sprouts. I am eating fresh sliced tomatoes with it. I am only drinking water and crystal light. For dinner I may have 3oz burger plain with tomato and onion no bun. some type of veg like greens.. no corn or starch.. I eat 2 servings of fruit a day most days..
lets see 6oz protein, 2 servings of fruits, 3 vegetables, 1 fat, allowed 4-6 servings ofcarbs but vary rarely eat them, I eat small amount of Greek yogurt with fruit sometimes for breakfast if I really don't want a shake.
I do not drink soda or coffee or any caffeine. I limit my sugars to things less than 5 grams. I am eating no salt.. All canned vegs are no salt added with about15 to 20 grams sodium..
This diet has worked so good until now.. 62lbs lost.. I just don't know what else to do.. I am so tempted to do the liquid diet the last two weeks before the final weigh in.. I am so desperate..
Well if any one has any suggestions. I would appreciate it. oh yes I have already started taking my vitamins.. I know most of us are already vitamin deficient going into this so I am trying to get in better shape for surgery.. trying them all to find out what I liked was how I started so now I just have continued with the ones I like.
Thanks for all the offer of support.. I really appreciate all of you.. '

Hi Teresa
You have got a real keeper in your husband and the support and love he is showing for you to help you on this journey. You have us all to help you.
Do you track your food? Also, even as far out as I am, I started trying protein shakes and it helps get the protein amounts up. This may help "shake" things up. Vitalady.com has samples you can purchase for 1.99 each plus shipping so you can find some things you like. Don't get too many--your taste will change.
You have had many roadblocks and you will perserve. I hit my first plateau since my 1 year anniversary and went down 2, gain 3, lost 4, gain 2, etc. I ended up losing 10 pounds since 7/9 which is about a pound a week on average. If you still get the TOM, this is water retention. Also, how is the fluid intake (water). That can flush things out too.
Take you nasty pounds and insurance company. You can and will do it, Prayers and hugs coming your way.
ETA: I noticed your other post. You may try adding some more protein like in the form of a shake because 800 calories seems kind of low. Sometimes changing things around like that will help.

I am journaling my food.. I have been doing that since February.. that is why I cant understand .. I am doing everything the same.. but maybe you are right.. maybe my body has gotten used to the routine and I need to change.. I am going to try taking two shakes a day instead of one.. maybe that might help..
I am on depo provera injections and have not had a period in over a year... I had went off of it before trying to loose weight but it messed up everything so I am back on it now.. I still get the water weight but no period.. I ahve not really been keeping track of the days,..
I have lots of samples from Vita Lady.. I have several shakes here that I am using.. I am prepared with maybe having a taste change.. I am using the ones I like now for now..
I am drinking as much water as I can.. maybe 48 oz and then the shakes and I am also eating a lot of sf popsicles.. so the fluid intake is pretty good.
Thank you for the prayers and hugs.. they make all the difference n the world to my state of mind.. I am very determined but I still get discouraged.. all of you here are so nice and it really makes me feel good to know you all are pulling for me..

Wow, Teresa, you have really lost the weight. Congratulations for getting down so low. They sure make us jump through some hoops to PROVE that we are WORTHY of some surgery, don't they?
I will certainly be praying for you to get through Oct without your hubbby around. My husband does July working away from home and I am always ready for him to get back to help with the chores and to have some company, but I kind of enjoy having my own routine. I put away stuff that he leaves out and hardly have to grocery shop at all. I eat fish and other stuff that he doesn't care for. Try to enjoy this month; maybe get some good books to read.
Looks to me like you already have the determination needed to succeed at this. You should do really well post op. Hang in there.
Yes I have done great losing.. I am proud of what I have lost.. I just am so scared of the mean oh insurance company...lol I wish all I had to do was wait the time and do the lady on the phone coaching me.. by the way she is a joke.. but the extra weight loss is really making it hard..
I am going to try to change things and see if that does help..
Yes I have a great hubby.. 5 years ago when the first insurance denied me he said back then that we will do what ever it takes to get this for you so you will be around for me. He has changed jobs 4 times trying to find one that the insurance covered the surgery. He has watched me develope all the co morbidities that they told me I would if I didnt have the surgery then. He is scared for me and to loose me..We have been married 31 years and we have a very good relationship. I am scared for me too. I want to be around to enjoy retirement with him. He has went on every diet with me.. He has ate whatever I had for dinner. Even the cardboard tasting stuff.. he never complains,, he lost so much one time that his clothes were falling off of him. He is average weight and can eat anything and not gain.. but instead he limits his foods to what I can have. When he is out on the road he eats other stuff but at home he eats the diet food.. He is such a gem.. I could never replace him ... I would never want to... He has been working 6 days a week since we found this out in October.. We are having to sacrifice being together now in order to be together for the rest of our lives..
I miss him so much. But it is nice to not have to cook dinner .. I have been cooking all on one day and then getting things out and warming up for my dinners.. so much easier..
My cat and dog who never sleep with me are now sleeping in the bed with me.. I think they know I and lonely.
I really appreciate all of you here on this forum.. I am glad I decided to make this my home..
