Monday Weigh In - Sorry I'm late
As a social worker, I know that a persons pride should come from within and what other's think about you shouldn't matter. However, as a person I know that hearing some things just make us walk taller and because of that I am going to say that I am proud of/for you!
As if it is not hard enough to reprogram our bodies to eat the right foods, but you are also taking away one of your psyche's coping skills AND still losing weight while doing it. Good job Patty!

You guys are making me cry. Or maybe it is the SAD and the decrease of my Cymbalta. I dunno. The exercise on Sunday helped. I've also been sleeping more. Maybe I've been doing myself a great dis-service by burning the candle at both ends for so many years.
I was able to wear a skirt today that I have not worn for 15 years. It felt too short, but every time I checked the mirror outside the ladies, it was below my knees - LOL. BTW, I love this mirror for a full body check to be sure the skirt is not in the underwear.

Hi Peggy!
Sometimes it's really hard to not want to share in food celebrations. I've found recently that if I have a tiny taste of what the boys have that SEEMS so desireable and then have a good-for-me treat like an extra protein bar, I can even walk away from the carrot cake. With lots of things, they end up not tasting as wonderful as I thought they would.
Try to plan ahead for occasions like your hubby's birthday. Plan a treat, but don't start back down the cake road.
Don't worry about telling us this stuff. We KNOW. Some better than others how to stay on track.
What kinds of protein have you tried? You are losing well, but I bet you'd do even better with more protein. If you are tired of shakes, do you like pudding? Do you do best with moister protein? Like chicken thigh meat?
