One approval down! One more to go!!
Yay! So I am so excited! I got a letter in the mail last Thursday and it said that I was not approved because the RNY was not covered under my insurance plan. I was so mad because I called my insurance company several times before I started this process just I could avoid any road blocks like this. So I called the insurance company the next day and once again I was told that my plan does cover the RNY and that there are no exclusions to my policy. So of course I called the surgeons office and told her about that and she said that she would have to call them back and get with me Monday (today) about the results. (Its sucked that I had to wait for a WHOLE weekend! I told you I am impatient) Anyway so she called me this morning and told me that I am approved for 100% of the surgery! 
The only thing I would have to pay for is the $100 admission fee into the hosital! So needless to say I am SOOOOO excited! Now I just have to finish my 6 month weight loss program with my PCP and I will have all of the requirements. Then we send everything for the second approval which will be when I actually get a date! But the surgeon's office said thats ok becuase since I got this approval I can start everything else that my surgeon requires for the surgery! So I am very happy! WOOOHOO!!!

Just noticed you are Killeen, Texas. Are you military? My son was stationed there for 3 yrs. He's in Seoul now, but my photo was taken in the hospital at Ft. Hood. He was a resident in Emergency medicine. I'm a big fan of Jason's deli in Killeen; probably good we don't have one where I live.....
Food is for sissies. REAL women exist on skim milk, protein powder, broth and air..... 
I like Killeen when I visit.I just hate driving through Dallas or Ft Worth to GET there..... My son hopes to be stationed back there when he's finished in Korea. Good luck on your surgery. I hope to submit my papers next week.
