Down another size!

I really fit in some size 28 slacks this morning -- I can breathe, sit down, dare even squat a little. I'm so thrilled.

I get to throw out my only pair of jeans labelled size 30 -- the inside of the thighs are a little too lacy to take to Goodwill. And the bigger size professional slacks I'd been swimming in, are going into the Goodwill box. I have a bunch of 28s from my last weight loss effort.

This melting from the top thing is getting real old. At the same time, my legs are toning up/getting smaller because of the biking I've been doing. I have a big panni -- and that's what I have to consider with pants.

However, I feel great. I can do so much more than I used to be able to do. Did a bunch of gardening this weekend and it didn't tire me out.

Now! if I can just fight off the carb demon lurking here at work.

Everyone -- have a great day!!!

Congratulations!

And I totally get the danger of the carb moster at work, Today I successfully passed by doughnuts and homemade oatmeal cookies.  I wish people didn't bring that stuff in to share...

Hip HIp hurrah......

literally..

I am so glad you are able to get into those jeans.. Such a great feeling.. I too am in a size 28 jeans. I never had a pair. I always wore stretch pants. Whe I tried them on in the store and they were on sale too. I had to get them. I was just so excited.. I can remember sitting down in the waiting room and waiting for the tearing to start.. I was thinking I would have to buy them if they ripped so please don 't rip on me. But I was able to sit and bend over and I actually felt a tear run down my face. I couldnt believe it.  I was so happy to put those jeans up on the counter to pay for them like they were made of gold and I had won them.

I have those jeans hanging in my closet. I have never worn them yet. I never wore jeans and now with the weather being hot I have been in shorts and capris.. I too have the panni thing going on so I am limited to what I get on. Usually if they fit over the panni then the thighs are so big and loose that I look like I have on clown pants. But these jeans don't  look that way. I almost can't wait for the cooler weather so I cna wear them and show them off.

So I know how you feel and I am so so happy for you.. You keep it up and soon you will be in a lower size and these won't be so worn out that you have to thrwo them out..

Kudos for donating to goodwill. So many of us are buying our clothes there..

Okay, where did you find the jeans that can handle a panni, but are a little cozier in the thighs? I must know.

My Goodwill doesn't carry larger sizes, otherwise I'd be buying right after I drop off some.

Hoping for some of that beautiful Illinois fall to hit you soon...

I found the jeans at target in the plus size department. they were on clearance. I got them for $7.48... Mossimo 28W/S...it is hard to find in bigger sizes much less short.. Only being 4'10" I rairly find anything I dont have to cut off at the knees. lol...They are a stretch denim material in the dark blue like all the younger people are wearing. I am so proud of them.

My goodwill carries a lot of plus sizes but they are a bit pricey compaired to the regular sized clothing. I have 3 goodwills that I go to. all about 30 miles from me all in different directions. They all have plus sizes but some carry more than others. I have been buying clothes in all different sizes as I find the good deals.

I have a local thrift store in our little town (about 12 miles from me) too that sells things so cheap. All profits go to our local churches. I bought a Jessica Howard skirt set for $3.00 last week to wear to church. My mom works at Dillards and she said it sold for about $78.00.. It looks brand new. I also bought  14 pairs of pants and 12 tops and my total bill was $29.00... I had a big huge bag of clothes to walk out of there with. I was tickled pink. Most of the tops look like new and a couple even had tags still on them. The pants are most like new and 1 with tags.  I don't do that good all the time, but times like that are great.

I am looking forward to cooler weather. It has been nice and cool this week in comparison. Only around 80.. It is suppose to warm back into the 90's again by weeks end.. This is officially the last week of summer. Fall is here. I would like to start wearing fall styles but here in southern Illinois we wear shorts until October. I'll get those jeans in there somehow. Maybe on Thursday night I go to my support group and it is suppose to get into the 60's late that night so maybe if it is cool enough at 6pm when I leave home I can pull it off..

I know right where Joliet is Patti.. I lived in Hillside Illinois for many years. That is a western suburb of Chicago. My father still lives up there. He lives in Naperville. I go to visit as much as possible. I am about 360 miles south of there now. One of the cities I shop in is in Kentucky abotu 30 miles away so I am almost as far south as you can get in Illinois.

Hey you might ask as your sizes get smaller. My goodwill lets you bring clothes and they give you a voucher to go inside and shop using the voucher you just got for donating clothes. Sure makes it nice to almost be like exchanging them.  It won't be too long Patti until you won't have to look for plus sizes...

Hey, back to that carb monster...today I had a doosie of a time. One of the secretaries at my school had a bday and my administrators always throw a luncheon. Well, they ordered me the chicken tacos with rice and beans....ugghh. They looked soooo yummy but I was really good!! I only ate a few pieces of the boiled chicken in the taco and some of the beans...Everyone was fine with it, which I appreciated. But that's gonna be the hard part for me...

Congrats Patti for doing so well!!! One size smaller is still one size smaller!!!
