Hello, OH family! I'm going on 6wks post op lap RNY and today was a very exciting morning for me. When I started this process I weighed 341 and I was really miserable and down on my self. Well, I started mushies a wk ago and am now on the soft food diet. It's been going well, even though I have felt kinda grossly full drinking protein and trying to eat "real food" again. So anyway, this morning I was in my bday suit (tmi, sorry) and got on the scale (like I always do)...and I was elated to see that it read 298.8 lbs.!!! I don't even remember being in the 200's!! EVER in my LIFE!! I'm still in shock..I wanna cry...I still think the scale is lying!! Then I went and did my measurements and those are down too, we're talking INCHES!! This surgery has been my miracle. Even at 42 pounds lost, I feel like I've accomplished something huge!! Thank you my OH family for being there for me!! Sharing your successes with me has made me strong in my will power and dedication to my tool!! Love you all so much!!!

Congratulatons!!  I know how I felt getting into the 200's--I went from the number starting with a 4 (407 but nevertheless a 4), a 3 and now the 200's.  I have not weighed this for 20 years!!

The mushies, soft food diet, etc. is a temporary thing in the scheme of things and you will be able to eat again.  You sound like you were doing wonderful.

Hang in there--it does get easier.

Oh this is SO EXCITING. When your weight starts with a 2, then you are totally on your way to fitting into the mainstream of life: chairs, booths, airplane seats. Congratulations to you!!!!

The twos!!!!  what a dream.  I am starting out at the very top of the 300s, so it will be a long road for me, but I'll join you in the twos!  Great going.
