Hi!  I just saw your reply about my Blood Gas test.  I've been kind of MIA this week - just having cold feet, etc.

Anyway, I don't have an lung issues or ashtma and I've never smoked but this Blood Gas thing is a required part of his pre-testing.  :(  WAH!  I'm scheduled for Monday morning to do it.  I asked the procedure and they said they numb the area first and then do it.  I think anytime you have to numb something - that's not good!  LOL

Nah, I'm feeling okay about it - I'm trying to get past the whole needle thing...  :)

Nope, that's the same thing!  I guess some places numb and some don't.  I can't decide if being numbed but having two needles sticks is better than just one needle stick.  LOL  I hope it's not too numb - I have to drive home!!  :p

Personally I did not find that it hurt bad enough to even think of it being numbed. Kinda like a little pinch that was it, and then it wasent even tender or anything, I'm sure you will be just fine. If. Its too numb just drive with the other hand ...unless you have a stick then....drive with your knees and shift with your good hand. (My dad did that sorta thing when I was a kid) . Good luck!

LOL!  No, no stick shift.  ;)  Funny story - my very first car was stick and my dad tried to teach me to drive it and I couldn't - I am NOT coordinated!  He had to sell it and get an automatic - he was NOT HAPPY!  LOL

OK, I"m sending good thoughts and vibes your way. Let us know how it goes. It will be fine. Just look the other way and count your breaths. Like breathe in for so many counts and then out for so many. The trick is to distract yourself.
