Wow! You're doing sooo great with your preop weight loss. I'm in awe.

The smaller your starting weight, the harder it is to lose in pounds. (I'm thinking about the thinny minnies at Weight Watchers who were there to lose 10 pounds. In amount of time it took them to do it, I'd lose 25 pounds. I was there for 2 1/2 years -- saw a lot of this.)

You're not going to lose as many pounds as quickly as you would if you'd had the surgery at 303. But I think you have a much better chance of getting down to a normal BMI.

A lot of us have never had problems losing the weight -- it's the keeping it off that's a problem.

Hang in there. The postop diet will be easier for you than for a lot of people.

Thank you for your thoughts.  I am not so upset about it now. I know that I will loose it. I just don't want it to be so slow that I get discouraged.

My PCP keeps telling me that I am doing os good on this diet that I should think wheather I wnat the surgery or not.

You are exactly right though. We can all loose the weight but never have been able to keep it off.

Thanks again

I am glad you are inspired..  I don't look at myself as an example for anyone.. I jsut know I am determined to loose what I can and get this surgery.

All of us have to really be determined going into this.

Thank you for the chearing on. I am really trying very hard.

You look at anyone you need to for your inspiration.. Even me if that helps.. You keep up with your instructions from your doctor and do what you have to do. We all are looking to each other for inspiration.

Thanks for the huge congrats.. that was very nice..
