Stomach Pain

Hello Everyone!!! Looking for Help/insight here?

I have been suffering with pain in my stomach for a little over a month now.  Originally thought it was due to travel/diet changes but when it did not correct after I got back to my routine and started to get worse I consulted my Dr.  Well I have gone through several tests now and am on two meds but still have pain in my stomach whenever I eat or drink ANYTHING I have sharp pain that turns to a ache that at times is very debilitating.  I feel best either laying down or sitting with my knees to my chest, basically in a ball.  I had a ultrasound that did not show an issue with the Gallbladder, and just completed a more detailed test on it today.  I am on meds for GERD/Ulcer with no relief yet.  Hopeful that we will find a cause before the exploratory surgery stage so looking for any advice or if anyone else has had this type of pain.

Hope you are feeling better soon.  It seems like your docs are working hard to figure out what's going on.  Unfortunately, medicine is not always an exact science.  There can be so many causes for abdominal pain, as I am sure you know.  Interesting you say so far they find the gallbladder okay because I had mine out in 1984 and it sounds so familiar.  By the time they figured out gallbladder disease, I had spent the last 6 months progressively getting sicker until I could not eat 1 single meal without throwing up within half an hour and I do remember laying curled up in the fetal position used to help.  Just wanted to say hang in there and hope your docs figure this out soon for you.

I had gallbladder symptoms about 13 years ago and only 2 flare ups since. Both happened when I had heavier, fattier meals than usual. Anpther possibility - Is there something you may have added to your eating recently that may be the culprit?

Thanks Patty-  no real changes to my diet.  I can not really tolerate Carbs other than fruit or vegs.  My diet is pretty much protein, protien, protein with some vegs and fruit.
I get carbs through soy or skim milk, yogurt and rivita crackers, veg and fruit.
So no changes in the diet that I can point to that would have me consitently having iddues day after day.

 Update!
Thanks to all who have posted, talked through this or listened to my complaints!  Just to update everyone I am heading in for exploratory surgery next Friday the 25th so hopefully Dr. P will find the cause and correct this pain!  I am so glad to see th end to this pain is in sight but scared at the same time to be going into surgery and have no idea what they will need to do.  I just have to have faith that all will happen as god intends and I am in his hands for this journey.

Thanks again for all the support.  You are all the best!
